Pay off the credit cards...the interest is killing you financially. Inquire about a debt consolidation loan... the rate will certainly be lower than credit cards. So much the better if you have the cash to pay them off.

You worry TOO MUCH about little, wear & tear, blemishes. Anyone who has ever parked in a public lot, has received lil dings, scratches and dents...like a new spouse does. If, in this regard, you be so timid and worrisome, I'll wager that you will never take your motorcar 'off-roading'. Luv Ya ! 💋

whenever i have to park in a large parking lot, i choose a spot as far away from the main building (eg, super-market) as possible. so far this technique served me well, but there's not much i can do when parking at my condo complex: parking spots are small and are located close to each other. my JEEP is less than 1 year old. I'll stop worrying about dents and scratches when it's all rusty and the wheels are falling off!

I sold my truck in '22. i'm a part-time freight broker now. finding loads is hard when you're a broker. if you're a trucker, it's easier. you just have to sign up for some online load boards.

I am working in the same industry as you tranporting construction equipment since last year. And I would say this job is not bringing steady paycheque and it is seasonal. I want to quit and find another job but the reason I am not quiting because I sold my vehicle when I got this job. Because the company is 8 minutes walk from my home. Now to find a job and drive to my new job I need vehicle. And to buy a vehicle used one would cost more nowadays. I would say the industry of transpoting construction equipment is good for retired people who wants less hours or work but not good for steady paycheque. The steady paycheque is in food and fuel transportation. Samething I thought warm weather came early and the work is very slow why? I was expecting for work to pick up by April but still not so good even in May. I asked older drivers some say due to economy and interest rates the construction industry slowed down. But I am not happy and eventually I have to find something steady all year round.

guys in the shop say it gets crazy busy after the long May weekend (May 20th -- Victoria Day). i'm checking online postings for class 1 drivers, but so far i haven't seen anything spectacular. people just don't want to pay fair wages to truckers! @@HHTV60 I am like you got fed up of trucking but the problem is when immigrants come to this country Canadians say your credentials and experience mean nothing so go and work as a labour which doesn't pay good. So trucking is left to do which is better compare to other professions for immigrants. And trucking is not my choice but doing to make little better money kind of stuck wanted to pivot but schools are expensive and no guarantee to get the job or not.
