I rewatched "Pacific Rim" recently. Del Toro knew how to create visuals illustrating that those were heavy creatures that could move quickly, but were still on a massive scale. In this trailer at 2:56, I was expecting Godzilla and Kong to put on top hats and start tap-dancing. That was just...to quote Nerdy, "That looks like a film."

Issue is you’re comparing a mech to biological creatures, a 400 foot tall animal is going to move way faster than a 400 foot tall robot, especially one controlled by a human so it’s not even native movement, you’re also forgetting that the running scene in in hollow earth which is supposed to make them look small because everything is scaled to them….. gravity also works differently in hollow earth

Seems like Scar King is the one who released Shimu and since Shimu is considered a world destroyer, Kong and Zilla might be mad about that. Also from what i know Scar is also controlling Shimu with a hollow earth energy. For those who don't know who Shimu is - he is the first Titan.

4:15 There's a second villain in the movie named Shimu whom we haven't seen yet, they're probably saving him for later. Scar King is the evil Kong you guys are referring to, he's the one who's gonna be controlling Shimu

Scar King isn't the main Villain everyone is saying. He is going to be a fraud and will die in the movie and Shimu reveals itself as the main Villain.

Evolved Godzilla & Upgraded Kong vs Skar King & Shimu the original Titan with freezing powers. Entire hidden civilization of Kong-esque species being overruled by an evil Skar King who possibly started the war between the Gojiras & Kongs and also slaughtered so much of both species. He seems to be a cannibal of sorts. Feasting on them. Hence the bones and skulls of Gojiras & Kongs laying around his throne and lair. Skar King is much larger and stronger than both Godzilla and Kong individually, with Shimu being just as huge. Kong takes little Suko under his care and essentially adopts him. Kong basically becomes King of this new hollow earth empire and becomes officially King Kong

Godzilla Minus 1 is like the polar opposite of this. Its a story where the humans are center stage and you care about them. In this movie it will probably be a popcorn flick with lots of great action. Both can be entertaining and likeable. But Minus One will pull at your heartstrings and has a lot less action.

Can someone explain to me why the more money they spend the worse the special effects look? Godzilla Minus One $15 million budget amazing looking effects. Monarch: Legacy of Monsters TV Budget amazing looking effects. Godzilla X Kong $150+ Million Budget the effects look terrible and extremely unrealistic. They need to get the people that working on TV shows and low budget movies to work on these $150+ million movies.

I want to be positive as a long time Godzilla fan but I was pretty underwhelmed by king of the monsters and GvK, that being said, the new Toho Godzilla Minus One looks absolutely incredible. On a slightly different note, it would be amazing to see you two react to the Live Action One Piece Netflix series, especially if neither of you are fans of the AniManga. Would be neat to see your perspective
