My only regret with this game is that there isn’t a special that uses the max amount of reverb and it has you, 808, Peppermint, Mac, CNMN and korsica all doing a screen nuke special together as a full unit

9:52 this fight was the most powerful I ever felt in this game, I was so overwhelmed with good vibes I completely checked out and went into a zen state where I did everything perfectly and took no hits, then I felt even better when I became aware of it. This game was such an incredible experience.

I love how the off-handed remark about the coffee machine became the best running joke of this game. I laughed when Korsica was like “…umm does anyone know what’s up with the coffee machine?” But Kale’s man-trum over a decaf only quatardo made me laugh so hard. Also the implication in cutscene the at the end of the game, that the coffee still only puts out decaf ppl are just living with it ,was perfect

I love the slow-mo Right Stuff walk towards the camera. You don't always see the heroes do anything, but walk. In a few seconds, you can know about the personalities of the group.

Maybe its just me but even after completing the game, i find myself going back just for the good vibes alone. This game shadow dropped and quickly solidified a spot in my top 10 games. This game leaks of passion and love from the creators; everything from the designs to the music. This is a SHINING example of how games SHOULD be and this game is master class. In all honesty, the reflection song with the whole harmonic shield sequence also made me emotional due to how raw it felt. It wasnt overly serious but not overly corny. It was just the perfect example of resonating with your thoughts and feeling the tune of your own beat. Im glad HiFi is getting so much attention but honestly it deserves more and IMHO a solid GOTY contender

I am so happy that both Streamer Mode and Non Streamer mode capture the same emotional high that is this level. The first time I played ch11 l didn’t realize how attached I was to these characters. As silly as this game can be at times the devs nailed the emotional climax- going from a serious moment of Chai and his friends synchronizing/Chai realizing his own personal growth/the “Band” coming together and then all of them exploding onto the scene with this song(or Surfacing) playing in the background is just so cathartic. Going through this level, having fun and getting hyped towards the final confrontation with all the friends you met along the way. The crowd screaming your name as your combos stack. Just masterful. Both of the tracks for this level cure my depressive episodes ngl- songs about putting one foot in front of the other despite how hard you’re struggling, to break through and be just be free and live to the fullest were perfect songs for this level. Chai is the main character you control but you’ve never been alone- and the realization that you and he are supported as you make your way through one mob to the next culminating in all of you blasting the giant robot together is a kalidoscope of feels and colors. Sometimes i really wish I could go back and play this level for the first time again. I still get emotional, but not in the way I did the first time I played. I love this game so much. GOTY PLEASE.

I didn’t really notice until watching this, but the musical cues that play when Chai gets the notes right actually accentuate and add to the music. Some of it sounds like it would fit perfectly in the song itself! What a joyful game. Love it!

For years, my mom has listened to this radio station that had the opening of Whirring as one of their main radio spots, like one of their “You’re listening to WIDP, 109.2!” things. It was basically engrained in my memory without me ever noticing it. Then, I played this game and immediately recognized those opening guitar notes, and I finally had a name to attach to this song I never knew I was nostalgic for. This is my favorite song now.
