I love this fight. It's so unconventional even by this game's standards. Throwing all practical combat out the window and making it purely defensive, on a mechanic that you've been technically able to ignore up to this point, or at the very least brute force if necessary, and now the game expects you to be perfect at it. I was expecting to have a more traditional 1v1 fight, so when this happened it was a perfect mix of mechanics with storytelling.

been able to ignore before this part? Did you forget all the stages from Zanzo all the way up to Korsika? There's been almost non-stop parrying exactly like this in at least the last 3 stages and those didn't let you progress until you did those parrying mini games right.

@@itzi7868 Sure, but those were often quick 2 second distractions at best excluding the tutorial teaching you that it exists. This is the first time you have to be really good at it for an extended period of time, and much MUCH longer in comparison (8 parries as opposed to 3-4)

@@steeledminer616 of course this is longer, that's because it's a boss fight, that was the same for Rekka compared to the goons you faced before her. what I'm talking about aren't those small flying drones, it's the mini bosses, the saw blades bot, samurai, eagle, or those cat/panther robots. These were as long as any of Korsika's sections between 6 to 8 combos long, tricky and sometimes mandatory to do correctly, or you wouldn't be allowed to progress.
