I had just finished the game and everything about was S tier- screw that it was X tier. The fact that a game the puts together an action , fighting, rhythm that tremendously gives players the opportunity to fight to the beat is game breaking. Not mention a good story to the game, it made me feel that the game deserves massive props to how well designed it is. The fact that each boss had a reason to fight made the game very spicy and the plot twists were very surprising. I hope this game gains the recognition it deserves.

Korsica a is far one of good fighters in game, especially this fight between them, I am not a fighter with sticks but I can say that it’s one of the things when two people are sparring with each other on swords or other melee weapons walking in circles and staring at each other ,waiting for other to attack and the other to defend themselves.

If it is a bug, there would be something more to that. Likely players need to go through that each interactive parry without missing once to make it count.

Is not a bug, you get no damage only if the parry goes perfect, if it goes good you still get a little of damage

From what i've seen, so long as you do well parrying and the last hit in the sequence was parried/dodged, then it moves to the next pattern. If you get hit by the last attack in the pattern then the game reads it as a fail and redoes the current sequence of attacks.
