Hi-Fi RUSH puts you in the beat-up sneakers of Chai, a wannabe rocker wrongfully labeled a “defect” by a sinister tech corporation. Everything in Hi-Fi RUSH automatically syncs to the music, from swinging your trusty guitar to dodging out of the way of an oversized metallic fist.

I’ve already sunk three hours into this game and I can’t get over how much fun it is. Bravo Shinji Mikami and everyone at Tango Gameworks. Releasing such a quality game with zero advertising is ballsy and I gotta give huge props to y’all for being able to keep it so under wraps. I can’t even remember the last time I saw a trailer for a game that blew me away only to realize it was releasing the same DAY. This isn’t even the type of game I’m into as it’s something I’d have been more obsessed with as a kid, but my inner child is so happy I gave it a try. Straight up Guitar Hero meets Devil May Cry in the best way possible. Runs like a dream in 4K maxed out on my computer as well. Haven’t even noticed a single bug, god I’m glad there are still competent developers out there after all the triple a let downs we’ve had the past couple of years.

Just beat 3 levels. Easy 10/10 for me. Art style, Music , Story and Charming Characters are great. Best part is the combat. It has Amazing and Unique combat system. Synchronizing Attacks with music and Finishing the Combos is most satisfying. Must play if you like Bayonetta or DMC. This game need more love 💟

Back when I played DMC5 and the music changed with your rank I actually thought this would be a great idea. Sometimes you matched your attacks to the rythm and it felt badass as hell. Making a whole game around it is amazing. Edit: So I've been playing this for a while and it really is DMC but with a rythm game. The complexity and variety of combo options is quite deep, and you even get assists to extend combos and stuff like that. All while needing to mantain the rythm aside from the button inputs to execute combos. This is a really polished gameplay system, definitely not a simple gimmick.

There are actually games before this that designed a game around this. The ones I know are "BPM" & "Metal Hell Singer" as Rythm-Shooters and "No More Straight Roads" as 3rd person combat. Very fun games!

I believe the characters animate at game-speed (60-120) during gameplay, and only drop to the choppier 12 (that's my bet) fps for cutscenes.

One of the biggest surprises of all time for me. Never expected to enjoy a rythm game so much. Even without the beat mecanic, the gameplay, animations, sound design etc are all awesomely done. Really great all around, and easy 10/10.

Although many think that this game does not appeal to them because they are used to the typical 3rd person playstation mode game. I felt that there was finally a new proposal with this title. I loved it, it felt like a game from the ps2, gamecube era. New proposals are needed, besides it looks fun.

I didn't get halfway through the trailer before buying it on steam. The charm, wit, design, everything already had me sold. I'm hours in now. The story is so fun, I adore the characters, it's so friendly to rhythm pros who aren't the best at beat em ups. I can't wait to play it a second time on hard mode and complete it 100%.

This idea is interesting, but I can't help but wonder if the soundtrack might end up getting monotonous in some way? We've heard a few different tracks in this trailer, but because they appear to need to maintain the same rhythm for combat, this might turn into a negative point for the game in the long run? I'm just mentioning this based on the trailer alone, so I could definitely be off. Maybe we'll see another trailer in the future that can clear up my doubts.
