I saw them in concert back in Feb 2014 at the Valentine's concert with Jagged Edge before Russell killed his wife. I watched their unsung special after he killed his wife and he seemed so together and mature when they were interviewing him (not saying a mature person can't kill anyone, he just didnt seem he'd do something like that, just his whole demeanor and his personality). Idk if he snapped or what, but I guess he wont be performing anymore w/ hi 5 and he's still living unlike Tony who is no longer with us and that's his reason he'll never perform again. R.I.P Tony!! If people think New Edition got ripped off these guys couldn't even afford to buy cars after their hit songs and were in debt each time they toured. People like Berry Gordy didn't become rich by paying artists what they were worth.
@totallyfrozen3 жыл бұрын
Yeah, but I wonder if leaving Jive was the best move. Russell wanted to renegotiate for more money but the others voted him down. Then later they ended up switching record labels. Maybe Russell was right. Maybe they should she stayed and just tried to renegotiate.

That record label move was already a done deal when Russell Neal decided to leave the group for a 2nd time (Hi Five Unsung August 2014) …after the Florida ‘92 accident (Pooh) left them with only 3 members.. he returned and they were back at four (4) members, but left again in matter of months… by early ‘93 he was gone and a new member name (Murphy) appears in their lineup promo... according to Russell the new Hi Five record deal w Giant records came with $60k signing bonus, he said they only wanted to give him half $30k and the other $30k would be slit between the other three🤑🤑🤑 so his words to them “you can have this group” and he left Hi Five for good as a member…maybe they wanted him out and set him up by messing with his share of the 💰🤷🏽♀️… his interview segments with TVOne filming occurred year before, around late 2013.. his partner (wife) was killed early July 2014, about a month before Hi Five Unsung episode aired… 😳
