So glad you're back! I'm finally catching up with my KZbin backlog of videos to watch :) I love non fiction and the books you talked about sound so interesting, especially the Roe one and the one from Cecé Telfer. Arghhh, so many books to read, so little time! Best of luck with your training program, looking forward to see how that goes.

Oh wow, your intro is my life! I also had bloodwork done just over a month ago because I was feeling blah. Low iron, elevated cholesterol and blood sugar and I've gained some stubborn weight that doesn't want to go away. My naturopath recommended the MIND diet (it's a blend of Mediterranean and Dash) and I'm trying to make cardio and strength training a priority. Also, great book recs! I'm on the verge of diving into House of Leaves because I'm insane and I have several nonfiction on the go too.

How great!! There are lots of great videos on KZbin about how to get started - and how the main thing is injury prevention because it is one of the main things that keeps runners from running & training. I was completely new to the sport of triathlon about 2 1/2 years ago and watched a lot of videos by GTN (Global Triathlon Network) and Triathlon Taren, right down to tackling the swim. Keep me posted if you go for it!

I have read a couple of books about Trump and I honestly can't read anymore but the Haberman book would interest me. A good one that I read some time ago is American Oligarchs: The Kushners, the Trumps, and the Marriage of Money and Power by Andrea Bernstein. I found it well-researched and logically written and pretty disgusting. I have an informal project to read biographies of all the U.S. presidents. I think I currently have read about 15 (not in order) and just finished John Adams by David McCullough. There is some talk of Napoleon which reminded me of your reading of Napoleon. I don't want to commit to a big book like you did, but I think I would like to learn more about Napoleon at some point. I have lots of tabs and underlines in John Adams, but I wish I had thought to do the end of chapter summaries like you do with your large books. In my presidential reading, I often see parallels with current times. I also read Heather Cox Richardson's daily letters (widely available) and she also has a newish book, Democracy Awakening, which I would recommend if you have interest.

I'm so glad to see you back. Our US politics are nuts, but you have some great books with some very good authors. Andrew Weisman is a very practiced lawyer and also a contributor on MSNBC and CNN (I believe). I feel like I know too much about Donald Trump already. I don't want to pick up the book about him, but the one on his indictments will be interesting (especially if he is NOT elected; if he is elected, he will more than likely pardon himself from everything that he can). I looked through my list of books that I have read; I don't have many non-fics to recommend. lol Sorry.

I know he is super polarizing, but he and Elon Musk are right now, I think, the two most fascinating men in America. Whatever your opinion, they drive the conversation about the direction of this country, for sure. And yes to showing your training, I think would be very interesting.
