Does it stay pretty tight on the bar itself? I’m considering it for my TJ roof rack but worried it will “swing down” over time.

Same question. I wonder if you had any shifting issues over time? Hi Lift jack sure is a lot of weight to suspend on the side of those bolts. But that is exactly where I would like to carry it so the inside rack real estate can carry other things.

I had to make a few mods with rubber bungees and shims to stop the rattling if not it was pretty bad.

Thanks!! Would depend on the diameter of the crossbar. It comes with two different size clamps.

Yes, you will need to repaint every once in awhile to keep it from rusting.
