My plan is: unlimited on groceries but no fancy, complicated meals, no clothes, no eating out with the family except special occasions, no house decor. I do meet a friend for lunch twice a month during our lunch hour. I've canceled all subscriptions. I will buy a few packets of seeds for a garden. No events or activities unless they are free. I enjoyed your video. Have a great month!

I really love seeing how people around the world live such different lives, and yet it’s all so similar! You’re really inspiring and I just found your channel a week ago but your videos have motivated me to get rid of all that distracting unnecessary stuff around me. Thank you for that and greetings from Germany 😊👋🏻

Johanna me too! I’m in Australia and I also love seeing how people in other parts of the world live. Annie’s videos are great. I really love her capsule wardrobe videos. She has a similar style to me and I use her wardrobe as inspiration for my own.

This was so engaging to watch! Thanks for sharing. I suggest making a menu that you post on the fridge about once a week or so of your common main courses that you could make with what you currently have in the fridge and pantry. When one is tired after work, it’s more fun to pick from this menu than to remember which ingredients you have and think what you could make. Restaurant feel at home!

Hi Annie, I really enjoyed this video. I can’t believe how expensive groceries are in the US! 😳 I’m not doing a no buy but I’m finding all the no buy vlogs on YT inspiring so I can plan a no buy month. Well done so far. Keep the momentum going! 💪🏻

Thank you! Are they less expensive where you are? I wonder if they’re so expensive here, or if I just have v expensive food taste haha

I would like to enter! My rules: 1. No buying lunch on work days (only packing lunch) 2. No buying coffee out (unless it’s a coffee date with a friend) 3. No buying clothes for myself (clothes for my kid is okay) 4. No amazon purchases Thanks so much for doing this ❤

Hi Annie! I like how you arranged and cooked your meals with whatever you had. Sometime it’s so hard to finish all groceries before they go bad, and you gave me some ideas for next time I see leftovers grocery. I’be been trying to minimalise and simplify my daily life and this is a good opportunity! I’d like to join you “no-buy” month and my rule is (1) don’t buy if I don’t really need (2) buy when I completely finish included essentials

Hi Annie! I absolutely love your channel and would love to enter your giveaway! My no-buy rules for this month are 1) no new clothes/makeup/skincare (except replacements when empty) and 2) only eating out once a month! I love clothes and clothes shopping, but after creating and loving my capsule wardrobe, I really need to kick my habit of browsing. Wishing you and your loved ones a lot of love and success this year 🥰

Just replying with my entry for the giveaway. I would like to enter the giveaway. My rules are no new clothes, shoes or accessories (this includes thrifting); no new skincare, haircare or makeup unless it is a replacement for something that is finished and I have no alternative, no unnecessary house decorations, takeout only once a week for date night, no new books but I can borrow from friends or the library, and no random spending at the supermarket (I'm a sucker for trying new things). I am allowing myself a hair appointment since I get a haircut once a year. I usually cut it myself but I wanted a bob which I can't do myself so to the hair salon I go.

I really enjoyed this video, Annie! It's a really cool way to essentially do a weekly vlog under the pretense of expenses and spending. Also it gives me some inspiration for my no buy January. I have an additional exception: gifts for birthdays and such. Thanks for the inspiration :)

loving your more consistent posting!! Thank you :) Look forward to your videos everry time....I'm a fairly new subscriber (few months) but your minimalist approach made me change my style quite a bit and think about what I purchase. I also am doing no spend Jan :)

I’d love to enter the giveaway! My “principles” I guess you could call are less so about rules but more about appreciating what I have. I keep seeing ideas of “reinventing yourself” and “building a new wardrobe to feel more confident” which are totally fine but for myself, I have enough clothes and just want to learn to be happy with them and use them to their fullest capacity before moving on. So rule: no buying new clothes!
@Kneeeyo Жыл бұрын
I would like to enter your giveaway Annie! My no-buy rule this month is no shopping for clothes (such as fast fashion) and only eating out once a week (more like once every 2 weeks) at most. Thank you for hosting your giveaway.

I would like to enter the giveaway! I plan to do a low-buy month to start. This month and next month, I plan to only buy 1 latte a week from a coffee shop and only eating out once every other week. The eating out category is the only difficult part about my spending habits, so hopefully this small plan helps!

I'd love to enter the giveaway :) my no-buy rule is simply no clothes purchases and no replacements either (besides for socks/undies). I have plenty to work with already so I'm aiming big this year!

This year, I’m prioritising my husbands visa, paying off hubbys student loans and other small debt I’ve accumulated from doing my Masters last 2 yrs and couldn’t keep up with bills due to insufficient pay from my part time work. Once that is cleared, I just do not ever want to skimp on food and miss out on dates with my husband cause we can’t afford it, or resorting to cheaper and unhealthy options because healthy food was comparatively more expensive. Food and health is one area I don’t want to disregard. Other materialistic things I can hold off on!

I have a unique low buy plan for 2023. It only applies to clothes because I'm happy with my spending habits in other areas. I can only buy from a list of just out of reach (financially) sustainable brands. I've liked these brands for a while but couldn't budget to buy from them. From some brands there is one piece I've had on my wishlist for atleast a year ex. anti-fit jeans from KOTN. I have never had an issue with buying outside my means. So I expect this no buy will teach me how to patiently wait and save for a few months to buy that perfect piece for me. I anticipate a few benefits from this plan like I'll buy clothes less often, I'll be more satisfied with the clothes I buy, and I'll unlearn buying in bulk. Funnily enough this plan will save me money. Instead of buying cheaper items in bulk every month, I'd buy one item every couple of months. I'm really excited for this low buy plan. Wish me luck 🙏🏽

That’s so interesting!! I didn’t think of it like this before. Actually this is how I started my minimalism journey in general. The financial limitation is helpful! It helped get me used to buying things only a couple times a year instead of regularly. Good luck on everything ✨✨
@ue2267 Жыл бұрын
The only downside of this, is if the piece isn’t a stock item then you end up missing out cause they don’t continue making them once they are all sold out :( I have missed out on so many pieces and things I have genuinely wanted when I would save up first and ONLY consider getting it once I had the amount. But the plus side is that most of time, when you do save up and have enough you realise that you no longer want it!
@simransian9770 Жыл бұрын
@@ue2267 true its a give and take. It's the mindset of I'd rather miss out on something (bye FOMO) than buy something I don't genuinely like.

inspiring video as usual Annie🥰. Here in France there are always big sales in January, so I used it to exchange my old stuff for new ones of better quality. But I plan to do no buy February! But I don't think that no eating out would be possible for me - I'm a foodie just like you😋I admire that you were able to hold back 💪But I plan to cook more at home! I will be banned from new clothes and accessories, extra books (I have subscriptions for unlimited e-books for €8 a month), plants, teas - I love them but I already have a large supply. Categorical ban on sweets and unhealthy food I miss your vlogs so much. But your video about minimalism, capsule wardrobe and no buy month are a huge inspiration for me. Thank you for that🧡 Take care of your self and see you soon Annie!🙂🙂🙂

SO smart. Love that you’re making the most of things around and doing your no buy in Feb!! Also love your rules. I’ve weirdly become so self conscious about vlogs if I’m being honest. But when I run through more of my list of content I want to make I will try to get back to them! Thanks for your comments as always. You’re the sweetest ❤️

I'd love to enter the giveaway! For my no buy challenge I am doing 3 months to start. Absolutely no clothing, I have to shop my closet. And for makeup/skincare I can only buy replacements for items I don't have a back up. Those are the problem areas in my life. All other things like home decor, eating out I rarely ever purchase. Thanks for considering! Love your channel 🤍
