@@jacobdavio9722 you’re right, they deserve so much more spotlight, aside for all the trivial bile the music industry keeps spewing out for the sheeple that “sounds like that artist from years ago...”, Hiatus take it to another level and often too many artists fall off the radar, but on the flipside, their creativity keep their sounds strong as they have to be to get people hooked and they get one hell of a lot more respect for it 👍

I had the great pleasure and privilege to see them live last year here in Dublin. And I also had the chance to chat a bit with their bass player and drummer. I will say this; when you are a 55 years old guy, have been playing music yourself for over 30 years and have witnessed some of the greatest bands ever passed this planet including the Sun Ra Intergalactic Orchestra, superlatives are not something that you put out lightly. But seeing the Hiatus Kaiyote was a revelation!! Addictive, musical geniuses, inspiring beyond descriptions. And they can play everything! For me right now they are one the greatest bands!

Hey, I'm a 55 yr old guy who's a musician too, and yes, I've heard some of the best prog rock, jazz, funk, fusion there ever was (Return to Forever, National Health, David Sancious, Yes, King Crimson, Gentle Giant, etc, etc) and it is a joy to see and hear that the spirit of fusion music has not vanished, despite the purists and the naysayers. These guys are righteous!

You know, it takes one to know one. This speaks volumes for Who You Are as well. I had no idea who they were when I heard them on a local jazz station one day last summer driving to starbucks. I was inspired to video the gorgeous afternoon sky while sitting at a light while Hiatus was playing on my cheap car radio. The timing of the music to the changing scenery and background noises was amazing and the moment I pulled into starbucks the song ended and the DJ gave me the vital info about who They were. Couldn't have timed the video any better. Money can't buy serendipity! Here's the link if you're interested. It's only 90 seconds. kzbin.info/www/bejne/qp-2p41qe9ebfKM

Dang. I was hoping for a music video for "the lung". This is still great though

So I'm just casually strolling through H.E.R. music and came across this group. I must admit this is Good Shit. I'm hooked.

This song makes me cry every time. Nai, thank you for bringing this gem into the world. It's one of the best ever written in my humble opinion.
