HIBERNACULUM FOR REPTILES | CR&A How to

Your outdoor enclosure is not complete without a place for your herps to rest during winter - so add a hibernaculum! In this video we take you through the easy steps on building one. A great hibernaculum for reptiles isn't always the most attractive to the eye, but the most built up and random! A random distribution of logs, stones, leaves, old broken plant pots, dead and live plants really help to consolidate a stable, dynamic and safe home for both wild and captive herps!

yeah i wanna create a really good how to build hibernaculum video.More views the better want good advertsing i want to work together with people to do it.Persuade you can just use leftover materials and reptiles amphibians really need it their numbers are getting lower and lower

I put a plastic 125g pond in over summer and started collecting logs for the naculum. Great idea to put plants in on and around them

What if I live on clay soil that holds water? Can I make an elevated hibernaculum, or cover the enclosure with a tarp/old carpet to hold in temperature?

If you are making an outdoor hibernaculum please don't line it to avoid drowning hibernating animals

How would the animals drown? Also this example is for an enclosure, to prevent animals digging out.
