Saves by the post couple inches to the right would have been perfect.. but guys like Baggio Henry kluivert have ballooned penalties over the bar .. not even near the goal but to them keep your confidence and put one top bin after hitting the post in a Derby from the spot but still no im scoring today the winner in the Derby im still going to be the hero even tho I missed by a few inches. Shankland is one of the best striker's in the spl the amount of chances celtic and rangers striker's get and miss sitter after sitter especially this season he would be sitting on 20 goals if he waa at rangers if that dessers has 8 misses 4 sitters a game

I backed the draw just after half-time. My only worry was Shankland getting a late goal so I cashed out with about 10mins to go. I thought I'd made a mistake. I'm not surprised it was so late - that Hibs defender sold the jerseys. The managers need to remind the players that there's a new system the refs are using and it picks up on everything - no matter how much you think you've made it look like an accident, it still picks up on it. It's called VAR

Great result. Frankie Kent has been amazing in defence. Still a few things though, Vargas is mince. Odel Offiah loan was bizarre as it was disastrous. Other than Meshino a few years ago, the Japanese experiment isnt working. McKay and Halliday should move on. I like Halkett but he didnt have the legs before injury. Lewis Neilson obviously isnt part of managers plans either. Budge needs to spend on a good right back.

Totally agree about a new right back, and Halliday’s time is surely up. However I do think McKay plenty to offer, especially after his recent long term injury. If Halkett gets another long term injury then his time is up, I also think he is a couple stone too heavy. Most of the Japanese aren’t clicking However Oda seems a players. I just hope hearts can get a rhythm and start to click consistently.

We need a couple of new wingers who can contribute with goals or assists too. In general the recruitment this summer has been pants. Vargas and Oda aren't good enough. Tagawa obviously not fancied, Nieuwenhof is one of the worst midfielders I've seen play for us. Kent is the only one who has actually improved us, the guy is immense and easily one of the best CB's in the league now imo. In fact, our whole defence looks absolutely solid. We have just beaten Celtic, St Mirren and Hibs without conceding a goal. I never imagined that would happen. We just need more goals from elsewhere because we absolutely rely on Shankland. Could do with a goalscorer from central midfield like a Hartley type 😍

The original poster was also just meaning that the Old Firm derbies have been a lot more competitive in recent years than the Edinburgh derbies. Rangers record in the derby hasn't been great since Gerrard left but I still think that's the case as I can only remember Hibs beating Hearts once since 2016 (might be wrong)
