not nasu. The series is from OKSG who also made Sei Shonagon and they are referenced in her proffile in the material book too. Not everything is Nasu. And extra warning whenever we get Fire girl or Girls work remenber that its METEO HOSHIZORA instead of Nasu too...

This and Mahoyo are 2 entirely different things. Mahoyo is Mahoutsukai no Yoru, literally "magic user's night" but officially "Witch on the Holy Night", which is the original unpublished novel that started the Nasuverse in 1996 and later got actually published a visual novel (in Japan in 2012 and then remastered with international release in 2022). It's about witch Kuonji Alice and apprentice mage Aozaki Aoko taking in clueless boy Shizuku Soujuurou, who lived somewhere so apart from modernity that he doesn't know the difference between magecraft and electricity, and the 3 of them working together against an invading mage in the city. Mahoutsukai no Hako, literally "magic user's box", was a Type-Moon promotional site that ran from 2009 to 2014, with original characters as mascots. The mascots then got their own drama CDs that were gag crossovers with other Type-Moon properties, and eventually, they got a series that was actually a serious story, the 4-part Mahoutsukai no Hako: Starlit Marmalade, the first 2 CDs of which then got a manga adaptation. They also got a 4-koma manga with other characters from Starlit Marmalade. Starlit Marmalade is about the meeting between Hibiki and Chikagi and them getting tangled in magecraft-related stuff through no real fault of their own, and the rest of the franchise is about whatever OKSG wanted each story to be about.
