Hey, Just a head's up, if you polish a aluminium or steel piece of your gun, you can have it anodized into any color you want by a metal working company. Just I'm not sure where your located, but anodizing is fairly cheap for small parts.

I agree with most points on modifications to the frame but it isn’t always nevessary to make a second undercut, your sight presentation was just not used to getting higher up, all it needed was more practice with that but it’s just my viewpoint. The gun looks really great tho so props to that.

Speaking from experience leaving the hammer stock is probably the right choice (if the stock one is working and in good condition etc), as a lot of the time after market ones engage with the sear at a different point causing the hammer to sit cocked higher than it should which leads to the slide contacting it more than it should, and in certain more extreme cases actually hanging up the slide by the BBH as it tries to go back into battery.

The whole point of the undercut was to allow hand to grip the pistol in a certain way, it was done to the glocks and M&Ps to mimic the 1911 grip style. So the undercut you made on the hi capa is really pointless.

If its more comfortable for him after he done the undercut, then it was certainly not pointless.

I think I explained and demonstrated how the two undercuts helped with how I grip the pistol so I'm not really sure how to elaborate more than "It feels better when I hold the gun". I wasn't doing it to mimic the look of other guns necessarily but more, I was holding the gun and noticing all of the hot spots and pressure points that I would liked to have been removed.
