In this video, I discuss what went wrong with my previous bow build and my thoughts about the next build. I share with you the wood grain patterns on all sides of the board I have selected and look forward to your feedback.
Do you think I can follow a growth ring with what I have or do I need to back whatever I make with it?
I made a red oak, recurve board bow for my nephew before messing up the previous build. With this build, I was thinking about keeping it simple and make a long bow. I'm hoping to get two out of this board if I can.
My son is a lefthanded archer and really enjoys archery. I bought a kids recurve bow, but it wasn't ambidextrous like I thought. I can change the setup and make it left-handed, but then the other kids wont be able to shoot it. I know that he will appreciate the work I put into a bow, just for him.
