Ive had a slab of hickory hanging around the shop for a few years now and it wasn't really big enough as is for anything. until I saw the epoxy river slabs, join me as I do the epoxy and the wood base.

Awesome table!!! In most of the videos I've watched, the design of bases are not well thought out nearly as well! Bravo!!!! the craftsmanship follows right down to the last detail here! Exceptional workmanship and beautiful design!
@brianwoodworking69106 жыл бұрын
William Smith thank you very much for the very kind words!! Design is everything when it comes to furniture and I believe that a table is either about the top or the base in this case the top. That doesn’t mean you can’t have a well designed base that doesn’t take away from the top and that was my goal with this table.

Yes, one of the better bases I've seen.

Exactly what I was going to say. I see so many of these videos where the top is beautiful and they ruin it with a terrible base that doesn't go with it at all. This one works perfectly.

Yep, a very classic base. I also like the steel basses made with large square steel tube. Some of them are almost works of art.

Source Port Services I have a lot more money in it then 300, wood isn’t free and I had more epoxy in that table then 300. Also I don’t work for free I have more than 30 hours in that table and I don’t work for 10 a hour. You can’t compare handmade well designed pieces to stuff at Ikea or a mass produced furniture stores. You would never make any money at all. I’ve learned from a lot of furniture makers on how to price your work compared to the quality that you produce and how much you need to make a hour to cover your over head. That was the first time That I have produced a table like that and still trying to sell it. Thank you for subscribing!

Hello I’m not really sure about the whole proces if the plate, in the beginning you made a frame which you taped and also put silicone kit on the edges. After that the filling startet, what did you use expoxy resin?. Than came sanding with first big and later smaller corns. But at the end what did you pour over the table? Boat lack, Firnis.
