real woodworking right here. I say that because your bench is as cluttered as mine when I'm knee-deep in a project. Do you just screw the drawer pulls in from inside the drawer or do you use threaded inserts?

Are these two sided tapered legs? If it is, are thy attached with the side stiles straight 90 degree? Nice taper looks like the legs are in an angle.

Great videos! I love channels like yours, simple editing of approachable builds. It’s funny how a channel like this can make your night better after years of searching for unseen content unsuccessfully. The algorithm helped us both out tonight!

thanks! this kind of videos really motivates me to start woodworking. How much time does it take to carve the seat to its final shape? it seems like a lot of wood removed and quite a delicate work

Man you have got some outsized talent!! You should get together with Nick Sawyer in Portland. Find yourselves a good lead guitar and drummer and you could become the Beatles of furniture making.

I'm blown away. Exquisite workmanship, ingenious joinery, maybe even better design! Did you just dive right in to the premium lumber or did you do a test build with scrap first? And how many shop hours do you estimate you had in each chair?

Excellent work Brian, technique is inspiring. I'm new to woodworking and, and I've been building small furniture around my home. My next project is a big one (for me anyway, as I'm still new at this), a farmhouse style bedframe with storage in the headboard with barn doors, for my daughters bedroom. I picked up lots of ideas watching this vid! I've recently had people asking me to sell them furniture that I've built. If you don't mid me asking, what did you invest in material for this project, and what would you sell this project for?

I like your design and your overall construction. However, you should re-think your glue technique. When gluing the shelf there is no need to glue end grain to cross grain when you have already installed and glued tenons. End grain glue to cross grain glue will not hold over time and only produces more glue squeeze out that you need to remove. Just trust the sturdy domino tenons and glue for the joint and save yourself a lot and sanding and finishing hassels.

I appreciate your skill at building a chair. I believe you need to practice on your skill at making a video. Why are you going so fast? Why are you playing music. This is a serious question because worldwide so many different people like so many different kinds of music and in the end the more people who watch the video the better for you. But to improve the video more I believe it would be better for you to explain what you are doing and why you are doing it, and why you are sequencing the build as you have. It is a great build and I learned from it. However speeded up photography with out a narrative makes it much harder to learn from. I am not trying to be critical and maybe you didn't make the video to teach. Maybe you just made the video to proclaim "hey look what I did" which is alright. On a personal level I believe that narration and explanation would work more toward teaching others. And I feel with your skills that you would be a good teacher. It is a very nice project and you are doing very nice work. I do not mean to make you feel bad I just believe that if presented the build while explaining the build it would be such a great teaching video. Keep up the spectacular work, this comment is from someone who hopes to be as good as you some day. I will continue to watch your videos - Bravo.
