lights have to be eyesafe and to be fair high wattage hid lights are too bright for street use and where pedestrians are. its not acceptablet to shine bright lights directly into peoples eyes. definitely have a quick high low beam adjuster.

HID draws a lot power only when arc starts. Power draw after start is quite low. Really efficient source of light.

@gugellegeg das ist zumindest der Beweis (was ja auch nicht verwundert wenn man die Temperatur bedenkt-es bildet sich ja sofort eine Dampfschicht) das ein paar Regentropfen auf den heißen Brenner nichts machen. Überhaupt sind die ganzen Entladungslampen sehr viel härter im Nehmen was Erschütterungen und Dreck angeht als man meint. Ich habe jetzt schon über 4 Jahre Erfahrungen mit Keramikbrennern am Rad-noch nie einen Defekt! Und ja, is ein 55er R171...

My guess would be that it takes some time for the camera to adapt to the brightness level.

Personally I couldn't be bothered to attach all that crap to my bicycle for a ride and then take it off again to charge it!! Need to change the description and not include "bicycle-lights" cause people are pretty much gonna take this for real and ask themselves, is there a quick release button lol. but seriously mate, that is one heck of a brighter than bright light!!!

+Ben Anderson - depending on where you ride, once you get your seat, or headlight, [frame-mounted] tire pump, panniers, pedals, or wheels stolen, you'll have no trouble being bothered...
