I have a question my 2013 ford fiesta radio went out but also my car would be turned off and I would be in my house and it sounds like bottle rockets or fireworks going off in my car lol I took the radio fuse out and it quit the firework noise!! My fuse is good...do u think its my radio unit or a short somewhere??

Mine sometimes turns on randomly and makes excessive static but most of the time its like this. Would this be the grounding wire?

This might be helpful for the radio of my mothers Fiesta. The controls on the steering wheel work, i can turn the Volume up and down but on the main control panel nothing happens, as you showed it in your video description. Do you have any tips, where to get this radiobox cheap? Cheaper than in in a Ford dealer?

Try disconnecting the negative side of the battery before replacing the radio. My volume knob controller dies and if left alone it will drain the battery it seems. Disconnecting the battery fixes it, seems like a software bug of some kind that creeps up once in awhile.

My satellite radio button and CD button works but the rest doesn’t, I checked the fuses and they all seem to be fine, do u think the radio box will fix my issue?

No it's actually just to say you can update the settings via USB port

Love my 2010 WS but the original CD/radios are complete trash. Mine would freeze randomly depending on the weather. In winter wouldn’t come in till a good 15 minutes into the drive and once turned itself up to max volume - I had to pull over and wait on side of road even switching vehicle off would not stop the radio. I would hear my radio startup during the middle of the night randomly as well! Called dealer they said they no longer stock as spare parts. Ended up having an Alpine flatscreen professionally installed and now very happy. Old radio and fascia stored in a cupboard incase I ever sell. Don’t waste time like I did looking for a Ford part, only option is secondhand and they seem to all be trash.

That's an excellent question. You can always disconnect the battery.. but I wouldn't suggest that. I say you take it to an audio shop and try to get them to clean the ground or replace it for you. Yes it did! The unit was defective. Very common issue.

mine was doing that i kept pressing the phone button everyday until it eventually started coming on a little bit & once i was able to connect my bluetooth to it for the first time, each time after that i would have to connect to the bluetooth on my phone & then the media screen would come up

Does that fix the display? My radio & display always go out together. Comes on when it wants. May be out for days then decide to eork for weeks then out again. I AM SO FRUSTRATED!!! Been doin this at least 2 yrs.

Can anybody please tell me if the radio with the bigger red colored display from a 2011 model fits on my 2012 fiesta? I currently have the radio with the very small display like in the video but i would really like to have a slightly bigger screen. If you shine a torch/flashlight at it (it can be tricky to get the correct angle for the light so this works) and you can still see text on the display (e.g. time, radio station, door open messages etc.) when you, then it's the backlight (which shines through the LCD to light it up). If you can't see any text/numbers, then it's something more serious than that. Mine has the backlight fault, which I'm going to see if I can fix.

Hey I totally feel that frustration. I have been in your position in the past. You can always get an aftermarket radio and install it lol 😆 but trust me I get you.. you have to replace the radio unit. Most of them were defective. Good luck finding a good one.

Somehow my car wouldn't start with radio fuse pulled. Piece of junk. The deafening static stopped but it would somehow kill the battery 🤷‍♀️ and not start. I'm gonna unhook the radio and just leave it 😑
