I also feel the same for Kozue. She has been focusing on only Godai while Kyoko dating with Mitaka, who also has many girls around him until he got engaged with Asuna. Initially, Godai fell in love with Kyoko one-sided and Kozue and Yagami all acted as sources for Kyoko's jealousy, which inevitably influenced her overall feeling towards Godai thus strengthening the bonding between Godai and Kyoko.

C’est très nostalgique revoir défiler tout les épisodes important jusqu’à leur mariage ça me fait couler des larmes j’ai tellement revu revu ça me rend indifférent j’arrive pas à retenir mes larmes
The singer song writer, Kozo Murashita thoroughly studied Maison Ikkoku and came up with this song so this song deserves to be the main theme for Maison Ikkoku so I edited the video based on the lyrics as much as possible. He died in 1999. RIP Murashita. We will all miss you. There are some art style discrepancy between early episodes and mid to late episodes due to multiple animation directors working on the project with varying styles. Early episodes art styles are mainly influenced by Urusei Yatsura style. Their varying styles later to be more cohesive with steady evolution towards more refined style especially Masaaki Kannan, who acted as a true bridge between early and late episodes with his superb animation skill. I tried some enhancements on few areas such as enhancing Kyoko's face: kzbin.info/www/bejne/nZCxlp-mn5dmi6c as what-if scenarios of if the late style was implemented to early episodes thus removing some of Urusei Yatsura influence while retaining the Maison Ikkoku's own style.
I'm so glad you liked it. No doubt Kozo Murashita is the best. On top of the artists you mentioned, I also like Kiyonori Matsuo's "Sunny Shiny Morning" ,Anzen Chitai's "Suki Sa" and Picasso's "Begin the Night". There are some magical elements with 80s Showa era songs, which makes them so nostalgic.
