My daughter ran away at 16. She & a 14 year old had been groomed by a recruiter. They were promised a great life in NY, from rural VA. The girls thought it was great. We knew who had them after one of their friends told me. We knew it was a race against time, to get the girls before they could get away. It took us 3 days, the sheriffs were great. My daughter was pissed off that we had ruined her "good time." It actually took a couple of weeks before she was able to see how dangerous her situation was. @lygophile hi hi, Hope all is well with you. Well, at that age I didn't have the maturity to understand manipulation. It's b.s. I know now)Nor was I firm in saying no to advances. As I grew up, I understood the seriousness of the situations I was in then and how blessed I was that nothing terrible happened to me. My parents to you may not seem good enough, like their strictness, or manner of parenting etc. But for me, I couldn't ask for better parents. Things that stopped me from following strangers to their home is not only the restrictions placed at home but also how worried my mother would get if I was late from my evening playtime or school. Not just worried, she would literally have a mental breakdown. So I would always make sure that they know who I am with, or if I'm going to be late. Is the same thing when people design things where do you think the idea of computers came from it came from a smart group of people coming together and designing computers where do you think the idea for cell phones came from it came from people as well. In the same way the idea to creat a universe like the one where we live came from god he designed and created everything in the universe.

You should be preparing them to be sexually harassed in the workplace... they need to know how to collect evidence and it will help if they can show how they made it clear that they don’t want that kind of attention. This is a real problem for a lot of young women ... it is very difficult to move forward when this is something you, as a woman, will likely face multiple times... most women have no idea how to handle the situation and when they come forward, they are often not believed and really need to have evidence... many seem very surprised that they are not believed. Your daughters need to know this. But really the best thing is for them to know how to respond to let a potential harasser know she will not be an easy victim.

FZ B6 I agree with you to an extent. Not every man could pin down a grown up woman and forcefully have sex with her. Prostitution could help reduce sexual frustration in those men who find it difficult to socialize with women or those men who have high sexual appetite. Not every horny man could rape. You have to be some kind of bully, an opportunitist and have sharp intelligence to isolate, pin down and forcefully have sex with your victim. Not every man is capable of doing that. Prostitution does not help every man. Prostitution does help some man who are sexually curious, sexually frustrated and have high sexual appetite. Prostitution is not perfect solution but sometimes, problematic too. We cannot force women not to sell sex which supposed to be for free for mutual pleasure and breeding babies. If two consenting adults wants to have sex for exchange of money then let them to do it. Men buy expensive gifts for their girlfriends and wives in order to please and seduce them to have sex with them. Why we are moralising and controlling someone's sexual life? Exploitation of women for prostitution should be stopped and punished.
@donquixote63696 жыл бұрын
That's insane. There shouldn't be anything wrong with two consenting adults having sex for money. The issue here is human trafficking. If the customer is aware that the person is doing it against her will, then that's a different story. Putting the attention on john's would be a futile exercise and a waste of money/resources. What would happen is what usually happens in the US, female cops pretending to be prostitutes, arresting Johns for a stupid crime, meanwhile sex trafficking is left unaffected.
@mooseface12925 жыл бұрын
Show bobs and vagene if men aren't getting sex from a mutually consenting partner they don't have to rape someone. They can get some help to figure out why it isn't working out. Prostitution is a lie, you're not having sex with someone- you're getting sex from someone. It's fake.

But as he kept explaining, he said he knew very rich and powerful men who would LOVE to meet me.... "And we'll make sure you get in deep with them so they'll come back again and again" I straight up asked if he was trying to sell me and he said "no you are selling yourself sweetheart" Eeek. And he wasn't even the greasy type that you saw in the video. He was organized and wealthy. They come in all shapes and sizes with all the same lies!

John Kane The other girls are stupid, they are targeted because they are inexperienced, vulnerable. Traffickers and pedophilles know what to look for. More likely young because the brain hasn’t fully developed. The pre frontal cortex doesn’t fully develop until mid to late 20’s. This is the part of the brain that deals with logic, critical thinking. Also, in depression and PTSD this part of the brain in smaller, meaning folks that have been abused in the past are not making good choices simply due to how the brain works. Again, traffickers and pediphilles know what to look for and know how to talk to these girls. Girls who are young and or who are hurting from abuse. So, please don’t call people stupid. That is rude and completely underscores how the young girls get taken advantage of.

What's horrible about all this is that these girls usually are never found before they turn 18, so then after 18 they are caught and put in jail for prostitution. The majority of prostitutes who are arrested, started out as kids and they only know how to be sex workers so thats what they continue into adulthood. So instead of helping these women mentally and physically, they just label them as criminals and throw them away. The entire thing is messed up so badly.

@elysianfields496 жыл бұрын
I noticed a very sexist attitude when the pimps were picked up. The police very "considerately" blurred out their faces, but whenever a girl was arrested, we were treated to her face, or to a mugshot. Is it because the pimps - the scurviest kind of male there is - is essentially "a businessman?" Even though they are supposed to be at antipodal ends of the law, do the police perceive that "guys have to stick together," and the enslaved girls and women are just "stupid," "weak," and "trash?" A pimp is essentially a weak, gutless creature; he is NOT really a MAN, because a man is responsible; he stands on his own two feet and EARNS his living honestly. He doesn't not exploit and bully someone younger, smaller, and more vulnerable, make that person go out on the streets to do the vilest, most degraded things with the perverts who patronize them, then - demand the money that his hostage/victim was given as "compensation" for indulging in revolting practices with lowlifes. They COULD get rid of street prostitution if they tried, or at least make a dent in it. A city could legally BAN it, outlaw it, and promise that anyone - EVERYONE - arrested for prostitution would be arrested (even if prominent in the community), jailed (no bail allowed), and sentenced to prison terms, with no probation or parole. Furthermore, they would be banned for life from living or working in the city, and if they ever tried to circumvent that ban - they could be imprisoned for life, or sent out of the state to some special prison located up near the Arctic Circle for many years... Does it sound unrealistic? Draconian? Would it be "cruel" to trample the civil rights of people who are daily vitiating a community, indulging in criminal activity, endangering the health and safety of innocent people (particularly children, who are exposed to used prophylactics tossed casually in streets and in parking lots, along with any other detritus resulting from brazen individuals who pursue their venereal hijinks in their cars - parked often near churches, parks, and even schools with children on playgrounds!) Prostitution COULD be rooted out from society, but human trafficking worldwide is reported to generate $150 billion annually, and with that kind of money greasing so many complaisant palms - sadly, this social scourge will be with us until the end of time (the pimps will continue to flourish, new and inexperienced girls will continue to be lured into a life of pain and disease, and our country will continue to erode toward its destruction, owing to the apathy and unconcern of those who wield the power - but obstinately will not use it...

elysianfields49, This is perhaps the most accurate, heartfelt and profoundly intelligent analysis about this situation that I have ever read. Would you consider forwarding it to major publications? I truly do realize that not everyone cares, and of those who do, not everyone is capable of -- or even wants to -- comprehend the totality of this hideous state of events. BUT... if you could reach a few of the powerful people in society (mayors & police chiefs of major cities; state reps & state senators; & U.S. Reps & Senators), perhaps some major changes could come about! At any rate, I am in total agreement with your thoughts.

I know you don't want to believe this, but there are adults who voluntarily sell sex. Yes, it is draconian to lock up people guilty of simple solicitation for many years in prison. You are watching a video about forced trafficking of children and getting emotional. You're right about traffickers, especially those who use children, but not people involved in adult prostitution.You are also right about the money. Too many people are making too much. They don't care about other people, and they have power and influence, so this trafficking problem won't go away.
