My blunnies have fallen apart over 8 years. Going to treat myself to a pair of these to replace them. Seems like they've updated their website too! They explain the construction materials and how they make them and where they make them etc

Thank you, Teik O, for teaching me about quality boots. I bought a pair of Harold Gardener from Everything Australian and I love them. Love the feel of the leather and the strong style and look of the boots. Keep up the good work.😃😃

I've been seeing these on Everything Australian for a while and haven't seen anything on them, so great to see a detailed review! Though for some reason Everything Australian jumps from size 4/4.5 to size 6, but sounds like their customer service might be helpful there. Such a unique looking design and they're much more versatile then I expected 😃

I have many, many boots of all brands and after watching this review I purchased a pair of Harold Gardeners and they are now my favourites, the fit and comfort is great, everything you say about these boots is spot on, I've since purchased a pair of Harold Roper boots as well, like you say, the Harold boots are not well known and they are a hidden gem for sure, thanks for doing such a great review, it's much appreciated, keep up the good work! 😊😊

I just bought a pair, unworn for $200AUD.... wearing them now, staggering value for what I paid.... great fit, very comfy, more of a rugged vibe that RMs, leather is thick, supple and good quality..... I don't think I will ever wear these soles down! Went TTS, and that is spot on.......

Can you make more video covering ian harold boots? Their grazier and avon model look nice but I have some doubts about their "breathable"(holed) poron footbed.

So weird. I’m wearing my Harold Graziers today - I prefer them to RM Williams as ‘beater’ boots. Much tougher in my experience. Also Duane at Everything Australian is good people.

This is the best review of Ian Harold boots I've seen, thank you for your time and effort. I've owned a pair of Gardeners, well as two pairs of Graziers, since 2011 when they were still made in Melbourne. I've worn the Gardeners hard for walking, travelling and casual business environments. Harold's current owner recommended to me the Oakwood Leather Conditioner for maintenance. My current pair are severely worn and though I'm loathe to part with them I doubt I can resole and re-line them economically when a new pair can be had for close to what I paid for them 13 years ago. Plus those new ones look really nice...In general, they are a great and economical alterntive to RMs, as is their dressier version of the Craftsman, the Grazier. ps. I also have a pair of leather soled Henry Baxters from the same period, when they were also made in Australia, with one piece upper, sadly no longer available.

After watching this I went on ebay. To my surprise I found a pair (Aussie made) in my size and a price that I couldn't say no to. The lower style reminds me of an American roper cowboy boot. They are different for sure. Only worn the a few times so far. As of now I like them. Thanks Teik

Having owned both Harold and RM Williams Boots, in my humble opinion Harold boots are superior, cheaper, far more comfortable and much longer lasting. Luckily RM Williams seem to have a cult following, mine made almost what they cost me new on eBay. Just ordered another pair of Harold's to replace them.

I bought these boots at a great price from Everything Australian and I love them . I have several pairs of RMs but I am reluctant to wear any of them in the garden. Harold's Gardener are rough and tough and clean up easily. I just don't think RMs would be the same and Harold's are a couple of hundred dollars cheaper. Great review again, Teik 😂😂

Thanks mate. Really like your reviews. I am giving these a go as dont feel like the rms are what they used to be. RMs dont dont do screw down sole any more to cut costs and discovered these. If only somebody made an rm santafe equivalent. They are gone forever.

In keeping with the local Aussie brands, have you come across Wootten boots, handmade these days in Ballarat (formerly their workshop was in Melbourne)? Love your videos BTW - easily the best boot-related KZbin channel I've come across. Albeit you're responsible for my recent purchase of a pair of Vibergs, so no Christmas present for me this year...😐

I had 4 pairs so far so I obviously I liked them ! My honest review is: Heavy good looking shoes/boots. They Offer good protection from cattle hooves and excellent support. Very hard to break in at first but feel like a glove after a couple of months ! Now, not sure if Harold quality control is up to the task or they have lowered the manufacturing process but it seans to me the boots are wearing and degrading much faster. Also there are becoming obscenely expensive for what they will last you if you use them for what they are designed to (without abusing them), my made in china Ariat out last them for half the price... Unless Harold deflate their price to make them affordable to the working men I will look for something else.

Fantastic video. I love when I come across a boot brand I’ve never heard of before and Harold really has me intrigued with that leather guard for the goring panels. The price in USD looks very fair from what I can tell. I would definitely like to see a long term review of those in the future. And maybe you could review Urban Shepherd and/or William Lennon boots sometime too?

Those are quite the rugged indy-style Chelsea boots of my dreams🤩. I found them stylish and even capable of being part of a smart casual, maybe that would be an overreach for some tho😅😅. Thank you for the video. PS. I guess the hat was to make an emphasis on the idea of toughness, if so, mission accomplished 100%😁👌.

Whenever I see you wearing a hat in the house I keep on expecting to see a drip, drip from a leaky roof 🙂 Anyway, good to see a review of a new brand (to me). The history sounds a little bit off as I believe boot making in England remained mainly carried out by piece workers from home until the late Victorian period when the first factories began. Then when mass production began and complex machinery was required for new techniques like Good Year welting the work moved to factories, typically late 1870s into 1880s. Maybe these were the exception that proved the rule as I expect they know their history better than me 🙂
@Bootlosophy

Actually, I think that’s what they meant - family “shops” in the back of the household lot that the founders then got together into a factory at the start of the Industrial Revolution.
