The hidden blocks were given away in the "pictures" (the random spaces in the walls) by where the fireballs jumped up to so it wasn't completely guess and check and was more of a real puzzle.

Let's compare this situation to a job, you go into work no one gives a shut about you, you have a deadline and you do it to get paid not loved. Now I want you to slowly realise that KZbin is his job and his subscribers are his co workers, sure some care and youtube his boss, they don't care about how he feels, he works he gets paid.

***** From what he's told us, he's very depressed about KZbin because he feels that he has no other skills if it were to fail. He hasn't uploaded in 2 weeks and he's usually with family during the holidays. He's been fairly absent in the CC content, if you go to his twitter, he seems to be down in the dumps. Of course, it is his life and he can do as he pleases, but I'd like for him to know that we care about his well-being. Hopefully he already knows. As someone who battles severe depression daily, I can't help but sympathize with him to an extensive level.

I can only assume all of the hidden blocks were foreshadowed by "friendly fire." That's the idea of the map. You just have to figure out what all of the clues refer to. I assume the short timer is to discourage guess and checking.
