Hidden Boat Ramp Near Black Point Marina ! (Cutler Bay Riding Tour)

Today we get on my Apollo Ghost Scooter and Tour my home area. We start on Old Cutler Road and head to BlackPoint Marina. I explain the canals in the area and how they connect to where Fred the crocodile hangs out. Its an interesting video especially for those who like understanding the area.I end up showing you guys a small boat ramp that many people don't know about that's very close to the main ramp at BlackPoint marina. Alfred the flame 🔥 you saw at the landfill is a methane flare used for burning off excess methane gas. You guys probably have a renewable energy plant like we do. Interesting note: That flame probably burns 24/7 but you won’t notice it during the day because methane fire is invisible during the day light. 😊

Yeah.. that ramp was one of the hidden gem for the locals to be able to launch their boats. I've launched there since after Hurricaine Andrew. Totally bummed when they interfered with the ramp access. But you are right, lots of no good happens there. You never wanted to leave your truck and trailer at night parked in that area, day time wasnt any better. Loll. But the best Peacock action I used to slam'em was under the Turnpike bridge at the Cuter Bay exit ramp North Bound. Also awesome Snook action when take your boat into the resident canals near Marlin. The flame is a methane torch. They drill down into the garbage and vet the methane that builds up. Then they burn it so it doesn’t build up and explode.

James. I think you mean the flood gates at Snowden’s point. I grew up right around old cutler and Caribbean blvd. Snowden’s flood gate is where we use to dive off the flood gates.

Alfred, if you're committed to the helmet there are mirrors the you can attach to the side that are about 1x1. A little less intrusive than a bar mounted mirror. Love the video. Keep up the good work!

Happy New Year Alfred! You can get a little mirror that either mounts on your bike helmet or eyeglasses. I couldn’t ride a bicycle without it. The scooter looks like fun. I’d have to wear arm, elbow and knee pads and a helmet! Probably wouldn’t work in snow though.

The fire is from the gases from the dump they build up underground I remember back in the late 70s early 80s there was a big fire at a landfill here in Orlando. And on the scooter you could probably get away with a GoPro you look at some of these channels that have millions of subs and they do it all on a GoPro I would say a GoPro I would use my atomos ninja and my Zoom I don't know if you have a atomos ninja but it is a game changer for storage of video and audio you could run two or three GoPros on your scooter and your person and all the audio would already be synced up to videos

When I visit my family in Cutler Bay, I'll go to Party Cake to get my Cuban Croqueta fill and pastelitos. The 7-11 used to be a Mobil or Exxon(?) station some years ago and they had Cuban sandwiches, croquetas, pastelitos etc.

Alfred, new viewer to your channel. I’m laughing as you ride. I grew up there and where you’re riding I use to dove hunt there. My brother and I use to put our boat in at black point when there was nothing there but a gravel boat ramp and a broken down dock the shrimp and lobster boats would dock at. I spent just about every weekend fishing biscayne bay. That bait shop has been there since the 60’s. That road to black point was a dirt road we use to ride our go carts and mini bikes on. We use to fish those canals. That entire area was nothing but potato fields. Wow. Can’t believe how much it’s changed. I graduated from Southridge High School in 1980. My family were some of Key West’s original settlers.
