This instrument cluster in your video is 06-11 cluster. 95-05 pretty much runs the same cluster with a manual odometer, not a digital one as is displayed in your video. The early 90’s like 91-94 ran the same layout as the 95-05 except the 91-04 speedometer didn’t start showing your speed till like 20 mph if I recall correctly.

My apologies; 91-05 ran the cluster with a giant speedometer and no tachometer. 06-11 is totally different. I didn’t mean to word it the way I did. 91-05 were manual and odometer, but you’ve got an informative video here. Props to you on that.

This is actually a 2007-'11 cluster. 2006 looked extremely similar but was a one year. On the 2007-up, the traction control light is on the left side of the cluster in the speedometer section, with a cruise control indicator on the tach side. On the 2006, there is no cruise indicator, and the traction control light is in the location in the tach where the cruise indicator is on the '07+.

Also, after your gage sweep completed, you’ll notice your speedometer and tachometer weren’t perfectly on zero, so someone has pulled that cluster before and repaired it, but didn’t properly calibrate the gages upon reassembling it.

Thanks for the vid. Im travelling 200 miles in my new 2010 P71 and the first thing went wrong is the heat stopped blowing hot, then the check engine light started to blink and then it stayed on with the little wrench light on. I topped off the collant it was low, but still no hot air in this tuoid 20 degree weather. Im checking the DTc first thing in the morning. Thanks again.

the E is an english readout of the speedometer, the one after is the speedo in km/h, T is a digital tachometer.

This is called engineering mode. Almost all Fords after 2003 with a digital cluster have this feature.

@@jacksonvillemediabeef2940 maybe your ECM and dash needs to get to know each other better bro.. so you have to ignite that flame by turning her over (the car) after a few good connections.. the communication will flow.. if the problem comes back you might have to listen to OBD see what he has to say.. but I really think the problem is the ECM is having trouble communicating with the dash.. which is not really a big problem.. just get a P.C.M flash to clear the thought.. sorry bored

@@jacksonvillemediabeef2940 incase I lost you the code could possibly mean your ECM (engine control module) is having trouble communicating with the dash.. after a few successful starts it will catch up and get in tune.. if it keeps coming back you will need a OBD scanner to see the problem.. then you have the option to either fix if serious or clear if not..

The dtc code did not properly show a problem code. It reads "none", when it should show a code on mine as cylinder 8 is misfiring. I still can't figure out the cause.

Try changing the ignition coil on cylinder 8 that is the last one on the driver side against the firewall.

You can clear codes without a reader by disconnecting the battery and putting the pos and neg wires together which makes the computer reset it’s self and you won’t have a check engine light and codes. Have them together for 5 mins.

The gauge clusters can have issues. Theres a guy who rebuilds and sells them. Dont remeber the sight but I had to do it, not that bad.

sometimes the power mirror pops the fuse and causes gauge cluster to black out, try unhooking power mirrors and put in new fuse.
