As a browns fan I can honestly say fuck Kevin stefanski and baker mayfield. Both of the shit birds held us back last year. All we had to do was run the ball 85% of the time and we’d have a fighting chance winning the game.

Maybe I just like the guy but my feeling is that if Chubb or Hunt should get injured, D'ernest would handle the job quite well and who knows, maybe better. That's how good I think he is. As they say, picks are a crap shoot.

no such thing. If you have a "three headed dragon" thats a disaster of a season ending injury for one of your two top backs. The whole team is focused on and built around the run.If the offense wasnt ball control the defense would be much more greatly exposed. "two headed mosters" a success 3 headed a disaster.

yall got Jerome ford? im not a browns fan ima saints fan but thats an excellent pick up. Youll get rid of alot of salary being able to let hunt go by trade as well as draft capital for Johnson. Ford and Chubb should be better,more dynamic and younger. Yall could just keep farming rbs get some of those picks back and fill some holes. I like peoples-jones myself.

whats interesting mark is that you guys are VERY light on draft capital. 🤔 due to the whole deshaun watson thing( thats not counting the expected firesale on baker,and him being a #1 overall pick. The browns have what i would call a "taleted core" of players who were high draft picks though. Youll still need to fill that roster out though and multiple 2nd,3rd,4th round selections could actually do that. I feel like the positions you can always draft and develop in the later rounds are RBs and interior OL/DL players. The browns could conceivably hire a new defensive line coach and then theyd havd all three. You could literally farm these players at these positions with your 4th and 5th round picks every year and get some of that capital and cap space back.

i want to say the browns were good enough to go to the superbowl about two seasons ago. The problem wasnt their positional coaches or players ( aside from obj) it was simple offensive inflexibility and the inability to get consistent pressure on the qb and stop the run. it doesnt matter if you rush for more than 150 yards a game really if youre giving up more than 125 to every team. The browns strengths do appear to be those particular position coaches though. why not play to your strengths. I just find it interesting. Watching the whole watson thing blow up on them i felt theres no real good way firward for them barring some kind of miracle. And yet there is if they play tk their strengths. I also think they should sue the texans because i honestly believe they knew much more than ghey let on and played mum on the subject to get whatever they could out of watson. I mean you can expect watson and his lawyers to lie. Not as obvious with the texans and yet they did,badly. It definitely looks like he will be suspended for at least a year ( not here to argue guilt or innocence,thats by all accounts ehat its going to be) you can bet your bottom dollar too that if he takes even one of these women to trial and loses the league will probably ban him for good or another 2 years at least. There appears to be a handful of the women as well (5-8?) that dont care about the money. They want him to pay( and i guess thatd make sense i mean if you had sexually assaulted someone and then went all over the tv and called THEM liars i could see why they would turn down every settlement offer,just to take it to trial and have the decision go against him) all this is why i think the browns should prepare a lawsuit against the texans. I dont think they were told the whole story at all. They basically got raped by watson too but it was a tag team by the texans and watson. They say they did their due diligence but i just cant believe that. Once the testimonies started coming out it became harder and harder to believe they signed off on it knowing all that. Then came the depositions where it showed him acting EXTREMELY sketchy and being VERY evasive. After that it was even more women coming forward,even more testimonies of victims,then the last thing was the new york times piece that revealed there were 66 women contacted as massage therapists in a 17 month period as well as only 2/66 being LICENSED MASSAGE THERAPISTS,the the whole thing about him trying to get NDAs from Texans security staff. The fact that every other player in the league uses massage therapists and dont require or use ndas or contract people who aren't actually licensed and you can clearly see the texans REALLY screwed the browns. He wasnt worth the 3rd round pick let alone three #1s . Even with a year suspension if even one of those cases goes yo trial and isnt decided in his favor he will probably get banned. It sucks but for the league its just simple math. You either piss everyone in Cleveland off or you piss everyone else in the country off. Those are not good odds. Now the strage thing is browns fans dont even want to see him cut and have their team recover some of what was fleeced from them. This even knowing that after everything wlse that was revealed when the grand juries failed to indict has basically created a situation in which no other team will trade for him. Not even for a seventh round pick. They font want to be associated with him. I personally feel as if the browns definitely have a lawsuit in which they can recover lost draft capital and 100s of millions in damages to their organizational reputation being sacrificed on the altar of the Texans greed and immorality! i like the browns. I used tk rebuild them over and over in every version of madden cause they were an expansion team and always had the least to work with and high picks in every draft. i was a bernie Kosar fan and loved those old playoff teams even when bellicheck was there. I remember the day a rookie eric zeier throw like 8-10 consecutive completions to set the record. Im not hating i swear im not but think about it. If true and the browns were mislead and organizationally the texans knew more than they let on and mislead the browns do you really think the browns should just take it on the chin? they were acring in good faith that sll had been revealed,that these cases had to do with sexual HARRASMENT not SEXUAL ASSAULT and that they knew nothing about it. The texans were not operating in good faith at all because you can tell from the totality of the outcome thus far. It just sucks because the browns get all that good exposure and publicity in draft day and then they turn around and actually pull that movies plot off IN REAL LIFE abd finally get the organization on track only to have the texsns come along and pin their bad decisions to the browns future instead of their own and destroy that reputation that took alot of money ,favor,and hard work to build. They deserve to pay for it. Cleveland fans love their team and what the texans did was VERY WRONG. if he had landed in new orleans id be saying the samd thing. Sue the damn texans. way too much came iut after the trade way too much.

Hey let me ask yall something. Im assuming its majority brown's fans on here. With everything thats transpired with Deshaun watson and all the draft capital you had to give up to get him( not to mention what youll lose on Baker since he was drafted number one overall) would you all be willing to accept a fourt rounder for D'Ernest Johnson? a thirds to high. A 5th too low. What about a conditional 4th that would turn into a 3rd at 600 yards and a 2nd at 1000+? im asking seriously yes. It occurs to me that with all the draft capital the browns are going to bd missing and having to be without the star qb they traded for at least a year thag developing third and even SECOND string Rbs may be Clevelands ticket out this mess they find themselves in. So many good backs went after the third round this year it was ridiculous. Trading Hunt away next year and Johnson this year and turning themselves into something of a running back brokerage may just be the best shot the browns have of clearing cap,signing stars to replace ones leaving Like Amari coming in. Two things you can always find and develop with late round draft picks are RBs and Interior DL/OL players. They could continue to build around the core group of high picks they have that are so talented like Ward,Garret,JOK,Chubb and others.

Lacking three first round draft picks and a 3rd, losing a #1 overall draft pick for what is going to be next to nothing before its over with because their too cheap to part with the 15 million bucks of his salary and the player you did it all for will be suspended for a year and then resuspended if any of the 28 cases ever makes it in front of a jury and the decision goes against him? you would turn down a conditional 4th round pick (that turns into a 3rd if he gains over 600 yards) with three other starting rbs on the roster? thats pretty nearsighted man. @John Smith no not at all really. Im more grateful than you know he didnt land in NOLA. Beyond that as a kid i always loved Cleveland sports. I liked thd browns and like the cavs too when Mark Price was the point guard for them. Every year i used to watch this scrappy little team from Cleveland be the 7th or 8th seed in the playoffs and root fir them agsibst the juggernauts of the Eastern conference. I didnt like The pacers and reggie miller or the knicks. The thing is i was happy watching Cleveland build a winner slowly,methodically,and in a way that was CLEVELAND,running the football and rushing for 200 yards a game while the rest of the league had given up on it. Watched them DESTROY a pittsburgh team that went like 10-0 or something like that before theh lost a game with a hall of fame QB , watched them get the QB i wanted in thd draft out of all the first rounders to replace our retiring hall of fame QB. The hole time i cheered. i said good for you Cleveland good for you. But when the browns came out and basically BOUGHT this guy the way they BOUGHT obj i thought 🤔 this seems like theyre trying to PROVE like they belong when they already achieved so much success compared to the historical plight of the team. I thought well i guess they wanted him more but hell he aint aaron rodgers or pat mahomes how are they going to build a team around him? we played against him in new orleans when houston HAD team around him and drew brees was one year from retirement and the game while close was never in doubt. They were talented and young the saints were just way deeper,and way better coached. Then i watched him play against mahomes in the playoffs and they got the PANTS beat off them. The thing is what Cleveland did screwed up the whole league. It gave the edge in negotiations to the bottom feeder organizations who cant do anything BUT throw money around. That thing they did you know GUARANTEED the entire 235 million? I felt they overpaid at 45 million a year for sure compared to what rodgers and Mahomes made. Couldn't fault them there. But guaranteeing the whole thing? that screwed up DYNASTIES and for what? it wont do anything for them but ruin what they built in the end. I had to watch Christian Kirk leave a very talented young cardinsls team that drafted him and go to the jags to make 70+ million and he's never even been a #2 receiver much less #1. i watched this happen all over the league. You look at a team like Tennessee who was working hard and dojng it right building through the draft and finishing with better records every year due to good decisions and great coaching get screwed beacause of this cause the guy they had under contract two more years at least want all his money FULLY GUARANTEED.
