I live just outside of Cromarty, anyone planning on using it should be aware it only runs in the Summer months.

Yet more stunning scenery, Noob. Looking forward to the next instalment. Seeing those stacked oil rigs takes me back to my 22 years (1970 - 1992) in the offshore oil industry. Luckily I only spent a few years in the North Sea with the rest being in SE Asia and Australasia.

Wonderful, and the weather was so typically Scotland. The first time I rode through the Cairngorms, the viewpoint you stopped at was packed, but only 30 yards further up the hill was a perfect place to stop a bike... not big enough for a campavan. I got my photo's and realised that no camera can do the vista's justice as it is all so BIG!

"Ferry Much" the lamest attempt of a Ferry ever that 1 mate! 🤣😂👍 I'm so glad none of yous dropped your bikes getting off it,when usually the painted surface is sketchy enough to deal with,but that off ramp looked steep! 😜👍
@NooBiker
@NooBiker 19 күн бұрын
@@johndiehardmclean23 the paint actually felt very nice and grippy! Apparently the ferry only operates in the summer months so it only gets 12 hours of rain each day

Nice route Michael (Grey Wolf). That trip on the boat must have been a bit nerv-wrecking. Wondering whether you need to stay outside and hold the bikes. Also - no 180 turns on the side stand?. That's a good party trick to have in the bag. I've seen a 65kg woman spin a z1000sx with ease it's all in the technique I guess. 07:50 made me chuckle, looks like you forgot your passenger :)
@NooBiker

Definitely technique. Neither Macca nor I can do a side stand turn and he's much taller and stronger than I am (Irish blood). Can you do it? I've tried and failed.

I'd love to learn. I'll come over when you're available. Also, the girl running out was Alan's pillion on the K1600. You see them later in the video, roles reversed 🤣 It's Ayse, she lives in Romford. She was my pillion going up Hardknott pass.

I hope you all enjoyed the route I gave you although I know some were a bit disappointed that the roads weren't suitable for " making progress". Access can be gained through the locked gates by obtaining a key from the estate office, it's a stunning road which climbs uphill to the Orrin dam. You missed a couple of viewpoints on the way, the Orrin falls and what I call the Eagles nest, a plateau from where you get a 360°view. I'm sorry I couldn't arrange better weather, what happened to your " wait ten minutes" hypothesis 🤔 It was fairly " dingin it doon" or " pelting" during the ferry crossing but you all seemed in high spirits. I'm looking forwards to the next couple of episodes as I know what's coming, it'll be interesting to hear your commentary since the Comms refused to cooperate.

I asked the chap at the cottage and he had no idea where to get it unlocked and said also there were other gates. The route then took us through the estate to the end of the road into what I can only describe as a goat track but I think that was the TomTom trying to navigate around the diversion 🤣 I gave up on the top reservoirs because of the pelting rain. But we had no caravans 👍 Everyone in my group chat watching are commenting how much they enjoyed it 👍 Thank you 🙏

@@NooBiker Oh so you did try to gain access, those cottages are owned by the estate so I'm surprised the occupier didn't know. I understand why you'd have your plans dampened by the rain, it was absolutely persisting it down 💦😰
Help Me Celebrate! 😍🙏
