Scoring System
5 - Great game. Period. It's in my collection. Obviously.
4 - Really solid game but for reasons X or Y, I'm just not willing to give it my top score. Almost always a game I'm adding to my collection.
3 - A solid game. May or may not enter/leave my collection depending on a number of factors such as other similar games, personal interest, people I play with etc. Sometimes can reflect a game's allure dropping over time.
2 - I'm either not the target audience, or too many issues with it.
1 - An arguably bad game.

Your reviews are so insightful. You explain things better than anyone, on the why's and how's of the game mechanics and you're very good at explaining what works and what doesn't.

I also like the fact the reviews are always balanced. Some reviewers on YT make the game sound like it's the greatest thing since sliced bread, but Alex & the girls always say exactly what they think of the game, warts and all.

Thank you for this review. It is by far the most informative one in terms of pros and cons and also strategy.

So when Shira played her first card wasn't she supposed to kill the card she copied and put it in the graveyard over the dead king. Am i wrong on this rule i thought killed cards went to the graveyard.

My group likes lightweight options pretty consistently. This looks like a good option.

Great play through, thank you for this. Weird question but is that a mat over the top of your table or just the tabletop. If it's a mat, could you tell me what it is please. It looks pretty good tbh and I've wondered this for a while.

would the deduction (keeping your goal hidden well) mitigate the issue you have with "pull down the leader"?
@BoardGameCo
@BoardGameCo 3 жыл бұрын
It's a bit of both. It depends on how "obvious" the leader is.

I know it was quickly mentioned in another video that it was recommended by Quackalope, but what is the material used on top of the table? I am looking for something to put on top of the table I use exclusively for board games.

A top notch review as usual guys! I don't think it's a game I'd rush out to buy - I'm useless at strategic deduction games - but if someone was to want to play it I'd certainly give it a go! Do you play board wargames, and if so, any thoughts on Atlantic Chase?

@@BoardGameCo btw we love players adapting our game and giving it their own twist (house ruling) so they can enjoy it in the best possible way. We had a nice discussion with Danny from Board Game Sanctuary too who also came up with a 2-player variant. Engaging in a conversation is just the best

The rule book indicated that the hidden cards need to be maintained in the sequence they were played and cannot be shuffled.

Best way to get rid of hiccups is to exhale all your air until you have non left. Then stop breathing or inhaling for 10 seconds. This should allow your diaphragm to relax and get rid of excess air.

So the obvious red player could not be stopped yet you go on to say too much take that which brings leader down. Huh? Was red just lucky on ppl not getting those many take that cards?
