I believe a message is in the book cover because there are many great photographs of Lisa Marie throughout her life to pick from. It’s her Memoir and yet a photo of her and parents (with one cropped), but the hand holding little Lisa is a statement. 😢

Had seen an interview with Priscilla's son Navarone: live w/ Lisa Marie's brother Navarone Garibaldi Garcia. He flat out says Lisa and Priscilla were not close. He also says unkind things about Lisa after her death, but was ok with being given 1/9 of the estate/trust by Riley even though he is not a Presley. Ungrateful and no class!

Well let's not forget he has no Presley blood in him..its Beaulieu and Garibaldi I can never understand why some Elvis fans hold him in such high regard in the Elvis world. ..yes he is Lisa Marie's half Brother...but the blood is Beaulieu NOT Presley. I think the message of the photo is #1. Elvis's face is only partly shown to indicate that Lisa Marie lost her father before she was old enough to truly know him as he died when she was very young; #2. It's a book about Lisa Marie & therefore she should be the greater focus of the cover; and #3. It's well-known that Lisa Marie had a falling out with Priscilla in 2016 and they never fully reconciled. I expect that some of the 100 pages that have been deleted have to do with Lisa Marie's involvement with Scientology within a year of Elvis's passing. Elvis hated Scientology & frankly Lisa Marie was badly scarred from her experiences in it as was her son, Benjamin who spoke of it's effects on him prior to his death. Scientology is a billion dollar industry more than it is a religion & Riley probably wanted to steer clear of it as much as possible given that they might try to sue her (which would be extremely expensive to defend) and both her father, Danny Keough & several of her closest friends are also still in Scientology. I pre-ordered the book on Amazon months ago so will definitely be reading it.

Hi Steve ♥ I think that the book cover is very telling. It shows Lisa deep in though which makes me think that the book is serious. Priscilla has been cut off, again I think that has bearing on the fact that they were estranged quite a lot of the time. I'm a bit concerned that a 100 pages have been cut out. I hope that this isn't Riley trying to dampen down Priscilla and Lisa's tumultuous relationship. We all need the truth. I originally thought that the exclusion of Priscilla was some sort of diss, but when I studied the cover of the book along with the title I changed my mind. The title, which is intriguing, (and needs to be to sell copies) matches perfectly with the photo they chose. Both Lisa and Elvis look very contemplative, if not actually troubled. As a a potential reader, that draws me in. It lets me know I’m not going to be getting some typical, already-read-a-thousand-times content. The elimination of Priscilla in this context then makes lots of sense to me. It would dilute the power of the Elvis-Lisa story. And that’s who we really care about. Not Priscilla.

I think it’s an excellent picture Lisa’s expression on her face is adorable it’s serious and she’s in the bosom of her father who was the king of rock ‘n’ roll which made her America’s little princess we don’t have royal family here on this 31:55 side of the pond but she was no doubt the daughter of the most famous entertainer of all time by cropping half of his face iyou were is left wanting more but we can’t have any more just like Lisa was left wanting more of him but she lost him at such a young age so I think the picture underscores that drama and pain which she had a lot of her mothers hand over hers echos the controlling power Priscilla hand over her yet I don’t think she was queen material. It’s the king and his princess that’s the story

Hi Steve. I don't think you are overthinking. I think there is a message with this photo, for Elvis and Lisa fans. We know that the original photo had all three in it. I think it's just part of Elvis' face because though we love him, the book is not all about Elvis. It could also represent Lisa's loss. The fact is, as Elvis fans who are familiar with these photos, we know Priscilla was left off the cover. That seems significant and that's how i interpreted the cover. Lisa looks very thoughtful and kind of lost. You're right, 270 pgs. does not seem like enough.💖💙

Sad to hear about LuDane. May she RIP, and be where Elvis is now, and other loved ones. Knowing about the cover a few days now, I've come to wish it showed only Lisa Marie. There are such great fotos of her!!! It's her book, her life, her thoughts, hopefully. This cover I guess was chosen for marketing reasons, to offer 'fodder' for speculations, and we can already see it works. Devastating if 100 pages are left out, it's a lot. I don't think Lisa Marie would have filled so many pages with shallow things saying nothing. Crazy world, all of this does take away from my anticipation, and I'm sad about that. I had looked forward so much to reading her book, now there are already some negative vibes about it, do we have to be suspicious again? One last thing, as it is Lisa's book, I'd preferred to write Riley's name in smaller letters.

It is a clear message for me from the first moment I saw it. Has R.chosen this photo? I thougt so. But perhaps Lisa and R. have chosen ot together... For me the message von R. is from R. to Priscill To show all the people,that R. is not,was not and not will not be in a loving relashenship with Prissi.And she treatet Lisa not good. And Lisa had sufferd a lot,because of the film about Elvis that Prissi made,without a loving feeling for Elvis or for her. And after the tragic loss of her son Benjamin, she hasen't the force to fight against her mother. And R.make all this clear with this photo.She cut her out, because she habe not the loving heart that Elvis and Lisa had. Elvis and Lisa don 't smile at the photo. I think it's a bit of a message to pick a Pic of 3 of them and cut one out. Also, the book is about Lisa, I think that's why Elvis on cover but not fully and it's a Pic they are serious looking and maybe sad looking, because Lisa has said she never felt protected and loved after her father died, he provided the safety and love. So she's sad, he s gone and she was so young and Elvis had his issues. I think the Pic covers all of the above, therefore perfect picture

I missed the show. IMO there are better pictures for the cover. I'm hoping the book has more of Lisa Marie and Priscilla's relationship. They were not really speaking before she passed. I didn't realize how rocky their relationship was either. We already know a lot of stories, so I'm hoping it's juicy stuff we don't know. Also.... Lisa Marie was NOT happy about her mother's movie at all!!! She didn't like how it made Elvis look. Could care less about her marriages. I'm sure it's about her feelings of Ben's passing. 😢 The picture at the end of video in black is actually my phone's wallpaper photo. Lol He looks absolutely gorgeous!!!!

Lisa was a very deep person. Riley has said there is so much more to her the just being Elvis’s daughter. Elvis is part of the story but not the whole thing. Also, I think you can see from this picture that there are many layers to Lisa. It also sets the tone that this will be a serious book. I’m sure Michael Lockwood will be part of the story. However, they are going to tread lightly. He is Harper & Finelys father. Lisa would have been sensitive to this. I think you are making too much of the 270 pages. I agree it is on the short side. But you have to make it a readable length

If I ever have a book written about me… (why would that happen? Haha) I want me and my children on the cover… I was surprised at the cover after initially liking it. I think it should be her and her children or a face on of herself. When I think more about it, I wonder if it wasn’t a family choice and more a talking point cover created by people who know how to generate chat?? Or in other words… for marketing reasons! I agree with Michelle...I was surprised too and I also think there are also marketing reasons behind so they can Better sell the book at Graceland if Elvis is on the cover too. It could also be great to have a picture of her at Graceland when she was a child...she has always said the best memories she had as a child were at Graceland with her daddy. I don't like the font too ...quite "cheap" and Riley's name had to be smaller under her mother's name. I'll wait to read your biography soon 😂😂😂😂😂😂

I would have thought my Dad hung the moon if as a little girl I got a mink coat, Princess of Graceland, knowing my dad was always on my side, tooth fairy would live a lot of money for a little girl. Sounds like she was really pampered. Sounds like Priscilla had to be the disciplinarian. (Villian) while Elvis wanted to be more of a friend. Lot of fathers like this, especially toward their daughters. See this alot. And mothers going to the son like this.
