The argument about ICE and EV cars are some how worse than the other makes me laugh. There are people who have the luxury of indulging in the joy of motoring, going on about the combustion engine as a marvel of human engineering. Most of us just want something to get us from a to b as cheaply and efficiently as possible. The argument that EVs are a control mechanism may be true, but the same has to be said for ICE cars. Legacy, as they now call the old car manufacturers, is a bit of a clue; ie establishment. There’s no difference between the two, both are bad for the environment, both are extremely expensive to produce and run, and devalue the moment you by them. Why can’t people see this? They are both bad. I’ve said before it only take a headline in the Sun newspaper about fuel shortages and the headless chickens empty the pumps within hours? What’s the difference between that and the grid going down? If the Gov want to stop you driving they pull the plug either way.

Mark, normally I agree with most of your views. When it comes to EV's no way. 😮 I’ve had one for six years and in that time apart from tyres, I just today replaced two suspension arms and awhile ago replaced a cruise control button and two air filters In six years that’s it in service costs. In that time they haven’t had to pump oil out of the ground for me, process it in refineries, I haven’t helped cause any spillages etc. Today there’s 151, 890 kilometres on the clock and the battery still charges up to 99%. They have now mastered the art of recycling almost all the gubbins in old scrap batteries and reusing the contents in new ones. My vehicle is quiet, fun to drive with no toxic gases coming out of a tail pipe and it cost me around $12 a week in electricity which comes from renewable Québec Hydroelectric to go circa 500 klm. Also the misinformation that EV sales are diminishing is total lies, percentage wise yes, but in numbers no. 😅. Oh yes, one last point, on a recent poll in the US of EV owners, 93% would never buy a ICE car again ( internal Combustion Engine)😊

Also take an emf meter in the car in see what it’s giving off. I wouldn’t want to be sitting in it for long
