While trying all these, you run out of 250 credits. This credit is very small. Please be our voice. I think we deserve at least 500 credits. Thank you for the information.🙌

I think it is really really hard for Photoshop to generate what you expect, and this was a good example for that. That scooter did not look much like a Vespa - not even like a Lambretta. I think it is better to genegate the item you need outside of Photpshom, and then composite. But as always, You made a good video that was worth watching.

I wish Generative Fill had an option to select the subject and create shadows on a transparent layer, separate from the background. Currently, Photoshop adds the shadow and background together, which means artists have to mask out the image. Having the shadow on its own transparent layer would make the workflow much smoother and more efficient.

Having the background, shadow, and subject all on separate layers after generating would be amazing. Maybe sometime in the future?

Hiya Mr. CAFE! I don't dredge up Photershop as much as I used to even though I'm paying through the nose for it. As such I have to learn the new stuff over and over. I knew what it was sposed to do and I knew what I wanted. Only..... my interface wasn't matching the various KZbin interfaces and it was driving me batdip bonkers!!! Not even Photershop Help itself helped! Rat frobige and grrr!!! Spent two hours chasing that rabbit...and ONLY when I rolled out your vid did I get monstrous and instant satisfaction....... You alone instructed me to go to the Winder menu and TURN ON the blasted AI menu thingy!!! Jeepers creepers!!!!! Finally....interfaces all interfacing! And then you taught me how to use it! SUCCESS at last with my little 5 minute project that took me 2.35 hours! Can't thankee enough!!! Liked and Subscribed! Your bestest fan in Alabam, Norm

Colin, thank you for this and you other tutorials. I have a question for you. Currently I am working in Photoshop 2024 and the most recent Photoshop Beta. Historically, PS artists would be familiar with using the Lasso tool to make a selection in PS, then feathering that selection using Select and Mask. Then cutting out the selection, etc. This works as it should. However, in the 2024 Beta version of PS when this process it carried out the Select and Mask generates a Layer Mask. Is there a way of disabling the automated Layer Mask?

I find it odd that when I try to generate a new background, it also changes part of my selection. I wish I could tell it to leave my selection alone. It's changing my model's head shape, and messes up her hands.

That's a good feature, I'll try it out soon. I have a problem with the regular version of photoshop. I tried adobe's help and all I got was run around and the chat "tech" knew nothing. On the 15'th I shut photoshop down, went out to eat and later that evening I started my computer and loaded photoshop and all the preferences had been reset. I didn't do it. I have auto update turned OFF in the creative cloud app thinking that would prevent such as that from happening. It had to be some kind of "push" update from adobe that I didn't want. Then the next day there was a notification from the creative cloud app that there was an update for the creative cloud app. I'm thinking they did something to it that caused me to lose all my preferences in photoshop. Even the custom brushes I made are gone and the custom shapes I created are gone. All that stuff is still on my computer, but photoshop doesn't see it because it was taken out of the preferences, as well as the customizations I had made. Like I said, I had auto update turned OFF, but they did it to me anyway, somehow. Now my questions. Do you know of anyway to undo what they did? (I know I didn't give a very good description but that's all I have) And: When they do that, do they rename your preferences file before they reset it? If so, where is it usually located at so I can rename it and put it back like it was and rename the one they put in place of it? This is driving me nuts and really bothering me that they could/would do something like that even though I have auto update turned OFF.

What a joke his Generative whatever is! I own two classic Lambrettas myself and I`m well versed myself in Vespa Scooters, going to a number of rallies each year in the UK, and taking thousands of photos of 1960`s scooters, so I've got loads of reference photos to call upon. In this case the monstrosity that Generative fill produces here, whether you select option 1, 2, or 3 are a complete joke. They're all just `monstrosities` and not worth time bothering with. Maybe one day Adobe will improve this greatly, right now its a pure gimmick, just for messing around with when you're bored and have some spare time. Theres nothing serious about this at the moment Colin, lets all just forget about this gimmick and get back to Photography! Cheers Colin for demonstrating this technology again, but all it does IMHO is show that its a technology right now thats still at its infancy point!
@photoshopcafe5 ай бұрын
Of course this isn't a video about scooters, rather than just a tutorial to show how to use a Photoshop feature.
@adventure96065 ай бұрын
I think Photoshop is being very aware of copyright and will not make a real Vespa or Ford or can of Pepsi or Walmart store or Nike shoes . It generates a generic image.
@stevejarvis1865 ай бұрын
@adventure9606 I understand that, but it's the monstrosity of what it generated in this example that's not acceptable. This is a technology at the moment worthy of only using 'for having a laugh to entertain the kids on a wet afternoon' I'd you're bored one afternoon'!
@stevejarvis1865 ай бұрын
@@photoshopcafe I do realise that Colin, the point is you could have demonstrated any make of car or a giraffe or many other objects but what Generative AI generates is just bizarre monstrosities of things that are not usable anywhere. Its all just gimmicky at the moment and I wish people on YT would just start talking about serious photography and editing again rather than this gimmick. I say that with the greatest respect Colin as us I usually love your serious helpful videos.on photography. Thanks for your reply, its much appreciated.
