Awesome video :) I've been going to RRG for +25 years. I know my certain areas of it really well, but have always wanted to branch out without taking more random bushwacks to nowhere. Your videos have inspired my daughter's and my next trip to Copperas falls (new to me), where we'll know to lean right at the falls to make a loop of it and reach Eagle's Nest from a new direction. Thanks for the videos! Edit: Special thanks for mentioning the high death rate at Eagle's Nest. Respect & attention with every footstep seems to be missing from a number of gorge videos i've seen.

Hey guys. Really appreciate these videos. My wife and I are from Michigan and discovered Red River Gorge and Natural Bridge about 15 years ago...we have returned and enjoyed almost all the MARKED trails on about 10 visits over the years. Your videos have helped a lot in finding NEW arches and overlooks to see. We are headed down in 3 weeks and will definitely do this loop. We've been in the area twice but didnt know about the falls and other arches...not marked. So again, thanks and maybe we will see one or more if ya'll on the trails!

I used this video to navigate this loop. Great points of interest with key navigational points. The top of copperas falls was a little tricky to find Osborne. Keep to the right once you reach the top of the ridge, there were no visible paths. Thank you for posting this, absolutely a great day hike.

Thanks for sharing your journeys through The Gorge. It is my favorite place to go backpacking. Just wish I lived closer.

Great video as always. I have been hiking and climbing at RRG for 30 years and never explored this region, I will defiantly make it my next hike. Thanks for sharing and be safe.

Secret underground creek yall didn't find. Walk along the creekbed instead of the trail, and you'll hear some flowing water. Follow that, and you'll see water flowing from a large crack under a big rock. You have to crouch the entire time you're in there, but it's worth it 100%.

Nice to know that route is possible. I thought the only way out of Copperas was to start heading up on the left before getting to the falls. It was a bush whack with no sign of trail that way though. Douglas had to be an adventure with all that ice, nice to see no injuries!

awesome vid so cool in the winter. The ice formations were huge. Thanks for letting us tag along.

Awesome once again! I’ve never been in the Osborne bend but it looks really awesome. I’m definitely gonna have to try and camp out on the eagles point soon. Thanks for the great video guys!

Hey guys I stumbled upon Copperas Creek arches a couple of months back. I noticed you all have not covered them or 'Unicorn' arch. Copperas arches are behind (opposite side of the creek) the big campsite. There us a light trail coming out of the back of the big campsite heading uphill heading basically East. You will come to the cliff wall and bare right. Go up through a small gap about 20ft in length and follow the ledge around to your right.... You'll see the pillar arch first... And if you can find Unicorn Arch it supposed to be on the other side of Osbourne Bend Trail (sort of above Moonshiners)...please do a video on it too. I'm still looking for it, I guess this is why its named Unicorn....!

Love the videos y'all. I've heard you say several times that Eagle Point Buttress is the second most dangerous place in the gorge. Out of pure curiosity, what happens to be the first?
@redriverunderground44014 жыл бұрын
Hi Annapurna, we do not have any official data on the dangers of different spots, but we have heard that EPB is in fact the most "dangerous", perhaps because of the precarious "Eagle's Nest" just below the overlook. Again, we do not recommend climbing to the nest, and we urge that people be extra careful whenever they are on high ledges at RRG. Thanks for watching!

@@redriverunderground4401 That makes total sense. Thank you so much for getting back to me. You guys have opened up a whole new world for me

Correction Copperas arches are opposite side of the creek from Snow and Double Deer and behind the campsite (same side of creek).

Any chance you guys have a GPX for this? I'm curious at what route you use to connect CF over to EPB

Love the hikes, guys! You're inspiring me to want to get out more in the cold season to do some exploring! Have you ever considered taking along something like a Garmin GPS and saving some of the routes out as GPX files? That'd be killer!
