You might need a Lie Angle adjustment in your irons go flatter on the short irons and more upright on the long irons. Great feature on the Sky Trak

Gabe you can change the offset (center line) go to settings , camera angle, you can slide the center line right to match you path

Not sure if it has been mentioned but you can change the offset on the range so that the center line is moved over in line with your ball position.

I have the original Skytrak and it has many of the same features. The main difference is that the new one uses dopplar radar to track the club.

I have to say, I am very impressed with your commitment to produce content. At 4minutes in I'm am exhausted sitting here watching what you did to map your bag. 70 + swings. I would assume that you could pace yourself but what a work out. Even changed shirts Kudos. I'll continue to watch this and see what other cool features you have to uncover. Might I suggest a less grueling demonstration of Putting? Thank you for taking the time to show not only the features of the device, but the uses and how powerful this device can be for game improvement. Do you feel this device is missing an additional camera to watch your swing? (Body, arms, legs, etc...) or club face impact camera such as the Uneekor Eye Mini has. I am curious to see what differences there are, and what value each can bring. Might be a new birthday or Xmas gift to myself.

This looks really good, great informative video as always. I use my Mevo+ outside with a net, but this skytrak may need to replace it. I’d like to see how it works outside. Have you heard any issues with reads on higher swing speed drives/longer clubs? My flightscope originally struggled with that but has become very good since the RCT ball and recent updates.

Just enough to be comfortable and not have bounce back. 8’ is recommended but it won’t affect accuracy of the read if shorter.

Oh yeah, it's nearly too much for one session. Would be great if it could be paused. In addition to the camera, this has a dual doppler, so I think that definitely is going into the calculation.

Just received mine. Having issues with network mode. Do you know how to factory reset it? There’s no pin hole to stick a paper clip on it like the OG.

Tampa should be much better for public golf than it is. We have some great layouts that are not in good condition. I guess I’d say WestChase, TPC Tampa and The Eagles in that order. If you can get to Southern Hills that’s fun and of course Streamsong is about an hour outside Tampa.

From what I can tell it looks pretty bang on. The only thing I have a question about would be the driver. I can’t go head to head with the BLP because they need to sit in the same place but I could set up a Mevo + to test that.

@@LetsPlayThru I would put the skytrak in left hand hitting mode and swing at the ball through the "channel" created by both units. That is how you would test the skytrak versus the blp. Testing the skytrak versus the mevo plus is not going to give us the answers we want, given the mevo plus has a relatively weak track record on its own.

@@LetsPlayThru While I don't have experience with the BLP, I assume it's similiar to the GCQUAD? If so, the original SkyTrak laser is 12'' from the unit and at approximately a 45 degree angle. The GCQuad hitting area is 14'' x 14'' square that is 22'' from unit and parallel (no angle). Therefore, for a right handed golfer, you should be able to place the BLP (if the same as GCQuad) to the right and 10'' behind the SkyTrak and use both units simultaneously. I own a SkyTrak and have the Plus on the way. My golf club uses a GCQuad (or a Trackman) for fittings. I've not done this before, but based on my experience with both, I think it's possible. One thing you may encounter is I know the GCQuad (not sure about BLP) requires stickers for clubface data. In my experience with SkyTrack it is susceptible to misreads with impact stickers, white drivers/woods, shiney club faces, or even white golf shoes. I am not sure if the stickers will cause an issue with the photometric algorithm they use.

Those features are exactly the same as the Skytrak, no evolution. Same features, same screens. The new one has some data display with some new like face data, swing plan and measured club speed, spin. A review on those will be helpful.

It’s not the case, in fact, they claim it is a big improvement outdoors over the last Skytrak. Unfortunately, I have been injured so I’m doing all the videos in my studio this week.

I think the three main reasons why someone would upgrade would be the slightly improved accuracy, the club path, data, and the portability factor if you were going to use both indoors and outdoors. The original Skytrak is still a great device as well so if those reasons aren’t compelling enough, maybe just best to stick with what you’ve got.

Terrible unit. I have had two. First one the battery wouldn’t charge so had to return it and it was exchanged for a new one. The new one stops working after a few shots. Sometimes 2 max 12. Go from all green lights to the red tick staying on the the other two lights flash blue and then turn green but the tick stays red with no laser. Have to turn unit off and on again to get it working then exactly same thing after a few hits.

What did they change with this new model? the delay is still there.. IMO, pay more the first time for a better machine instead of regretting it after the fact. Get a GC3 or Uneekor machine and never worry about accuracy or shot delay

Major changes are the improved accuracy, club face / path data, and outdoor resiliency. It’s a pretty big leap in price between this for 3k and a GC3 for 7k. So this fits well for a lot of budgets.

@@LetsPlayThru I probably should have said the Bushnell version for the same price but they get you on yearly subs as well. i started with skytrak went to GC2 and settled in with Uneekor QED the last few years. The original skytrak could drive you crazy with no reads, mis-reads and the shot delay if you had used a machine with instant feedback. Hopefully this one fares better with some of those issues. I enjoy your content, especially the on course stuff, keep up the great work.
