Sasa, instead of sustaining that momentum and improving it even further, crooks began mismanaging the fund. Having personally hired many coders (from Kenya, India, Eastern Europe etc), I firmly believe that Kenyans deliver _far_ better quality compared to Indian companies. The big Indian IT outsourcing companies (InfoSys, Wipro, Tata etc) that our govts engage, only care about profits unfortunately. Consider KRA's terrible system, which was done by Tata of India. The best Indian talent avoids them like the plague.

1:22:03 Lyn's question on why SHIF can't be mandatory and we do away with private insurance- I think it's what the Doc has explained the whole interview- the burden is on the employees- Government and Employers have abandoned the ship. They're not holding up the end of their bargain- no allocation from treasury and no employers matching. Also- we have been told of the limits of SHIF. It can't cater for much because only 20% contribute- it can't cover the needs of 100% of the population. Unless the government takes up its leadership role and allocates the 50 billion for UHC, unless country governments comply, unless everyone does their part-- we all suffer, politicians keep stealing to cater to their private interests, It's a shit show.
