I thought there was something off with that driver, but I guess I figured it out now. I don't think there's anything bad being a gay though, I have many friends who are gay.

A "secure job" - HA! Not going forward 10/20 years. Driverless trains are the future. Less drivers, less strikes - great.

QYD1000 driverless trains will only work in small areas such as a city like the current DRL. Nothing can really become “driverless” due mainly to H&S, so they’ll still be manned. So yeah he is right, pretty much a secure job if you don’t mess up.

Driverless trains won't put an end to strikes. There are many operations to London Underground that can cripple the service, not just drivers.

@Ben Mayo - The whole network will likely be ATO by the finish of the upgrade work. Trains will still be manned by a T/O as the current ATO lines are now in case of a problem, but the lines will be fully automated, not partly.

There will never be driverless trains. Stop being jealous because you have a job which pays you £6 an hour
