Thank you so much for this video. I’m from Craftsbury Vermont. I moved to Arizona in 2002. Seeing this video of Route 14, which I have driven at least a million miles on it, brings back so much memories. A lot is still there, but some new structures have gone up since I last drove on the route.

That basically looks like where I live in the north Georgia mountains, except for one major thing, we're about 60 degrees warmer than you are in the Winter lol. Great enjoyably ride. Thanks for sharing and taking the the time.

I was in western North Carolina recently and noticed the landscape was very similar. The difference I noticed is in NC you have Dollar Stores where in VT you have country stores. NC you have fast food where in VT you have cafes and diners with great food. The houses are better in VT as well. Is North Georgia similar to west NC?

@@jonathanp1884 We border North Carolina. The mountain areas of North Georgia and North Carolina are major resort areas for Atlanta and other large cities in the southeast, and get millions of more people visiting year round. So the commercialism more or less has to be here to satisfy the tourist. Our area looks almost like the beautiful state of Vermont. The people in this area seem to be much more friendlier also. The homes in Vermont are basically much older than here and we've noticed that all over New England. In our area, and North Carolina, if you got off the main roads you would see mulit million dollar vacation home all over the mountains. We built a New England Saltbox home 20 years ago and love it. Our winters are also much milder than Vermont's so more people come here year round. Every other year we go to New England for the leaves, and this is the year we go again. We'll be getting our rv ready soon.
