Oh my heck! This was a great video! My littles and I have the most wonderful and educational lessons from your posts, Kevin! This one was especially fun as the topic of our family discussion was “ Attributes of Human Nature”. I wish that I could send you the video that I took of the Littles discussing what they have titled “ Life’s Backseat Drivers!” Oh… out of the mouths of babes!!😂😂😂😂😂. The conversations were hilarious but true! You find “ back seat drivers” in every possible type of life’s situations! I was impressed that the Littles fully understood your frustrations! Not that we want or enjoy the Negative Nellies or the nay sayers, but this video did demonstrate that there is opposition in all things, and that no one escapes the hurtful consequences of such actions. The Littles did decide ( by vote) that it is how one handles negative situations that is important! It is character building at its best!! It is by your reaction that sets the bar high and how situations can be handled in a positive manner! I hope that you do not mind that your example is a goal for my Littles to strive to attain! I love this Channel. I watch it at night when I'm chilling. I Especially love Moe. I lost my dog 2 years ago he liked 3 months and he would have been14 years old. He was my baby I got him when he was 6 weeks old his mom stopped feeding her babies, but she had 10 so the poor girl was worn out. There are always Going to be miserable people trying to make everybody else miserable. Keep doing what you're doing. You have a lot of people that love the channel. Don't worry about the haters.

We had a partial house fire where the metal standing rib steel sheets were replaced, so we made 3 4x8' raised beds out of the old ones. They have 4x4 posts on the inside corners and and 2x6's around the top to sit or lean on and one 2x6 cross piece for stability. Very strong. Don't forget to line the bottom with lots of layers of cardboard and don't put veggie scraps on the bottom especially with potato pieces... We've had potatoes coming up every year from those scraps! Blend perlite with planting mix to aerate the soil especially if you have trucked in compost. I topped it with Kelloggs soil conditioner to mix in a bit. Nitro-humus is good, too. Also, since you have cats, plant some catnip and thyme for bug control. Catnip plants turn into small shrubs. I cut it back to harvest and it grows right back.

The new raised garden bed will be a back saver especially for a tall person. A good weed barrier ground cover might help keep weeds from taking over. It’s hard to work 2 full time jobs, so kudos to you. Mojo is a sweetheart and has been working hard keeping the predators away along with the other 3 guards. On that note when will Russel going to work alongside Mojo. Or will he stay with his parents and work alongside them? Will there be more donkeys and will they be guard donkeys ? Y’all do a great job caring for All your animals. Chicken coop looks like a chicken palace or fluffy butt coop.

I am interested to see how those raised beds work for you. My experience with metal beds is that they raised the temperature of the soil too much for many plants. Having a light color, such as the almond you have, may mitigate that some.

I'm so sorry to hear about Ms. Betty and her little chicks leaving and not coming back. I'm sure she died protecting her chicks. I'm really glad to hear that you are building a chicken coop to protect the other hens. I hope some smaller other ones also to help protect the hens with babies. She was a cute little hen, and she will be missed. I really like the raised bed idea and how convenient it will be for you. I hope Rachel is doing well and let her know that coturnix quail eggs helps with allergies, I saw she is allergic to bees. I eat quail eggs almost every day and it helps with my allergies. I like them boiled or mixed with chicken eggs scrambled. I hope this helps her out. You do have to keep quail safe from predictors and up off the ground. But they are a lot of fun to have and watch.

I got the two long oval ones with the trellis. These raised beds are awesome. Fill with grass clippings and all the branches that fall. You can also use some of your original garden waste. Like pepper plants, carrot tops etc. layer with dirt and it will all rot and become compost. That way you don’t have to put as much dirt in to start. Great time to start this project is in the fall. Glad to see the Ravens won and I bet Caleb had a blast at the game! I got mine from Lawn Guard. I might have to get some more!
