Agreed, but the truth is powerful. The fact that he was married to Lori within 2 weeks is such a huge red flag that even if she tried to not make him look bad it didn’t work in my opinion.

Agree, I was surprised that there was no objection for the leading questions. Mom wasn't shining him up very well, so Prior just wanted to see how much damage control he could elicit instead. This is already well beyond damage control regardless -- the "Lori made him do it" narrative that Prior is relying on is the best he can do and isn't going to work. Best the defense can hope for is not getting a capital sentence, though he's at least going down 100% for Tammy (suffocation is personal and brutal), and the prosecution's final argument will tie all the light/dark, cell phone, jeep, etc. loose ends to him well enough that he won't get slack for the kids, either.

@goatgirl5968 there were texts between Chad & Lori, where he proclaims his love for her and how much he missed her, etc. And he told her how sad he was because he missed her and wanted to be with her And then he said everyone saw he was sad, "but not for the reason everyone thought ".

Everyone around Chad ignored how outrageous him getting remarried 2 weeks after Tammy’s death. They all just completely dismissed Tammy, the Woman they all speak so highly of, claiming how wonderful, kind, loving, etc.. allowing him to shove this other woman down their throats as if Tammy never existed. Chad Must not have been THAT shy, Soft spoken or an introvert. He had NO PROBLEM parading Lori throughout the community like the golden calf. Heather Daybell didn’t put up with Chad’s BS, even if her and Tammy weren’t besties. She knew it was disrespectful and “cruel” in numerous ways and wanted no part of it

Such a hard place to put your Mom in! No shame on Chad's face. Truly an evil man! Listened to season 1 of the podcast again. Refreshed my thoughts on him. I hold him so responsible in this case! Don't get me wrong, Lori and Alex were also. But this was HIS mission and he had NO feelings for those poor babies! It is obvious in their manner of death. I want to see his face when his verdict is read!🤬

So sickening that Prior is trying to make out that Chad was this poor little shy, introverted, innocent guy, who got dazzled by a seductress because he just couldnt help himself. Before Lori, he was involved with other women. Lori likely wasn't his first mistress. He described Tammy as bland and boring. He used the line of "We were married in a previous life," on other women before Lori.

It's hard for a mother, to have to testify in her son's murder trial. There is a balance she has to make, since he is her son. Who would willingly give up lots of info? I don't know if she can see the truth. I think the marriage was strange to them, just 2 weeks after Tammy's death. No mother wants to believe their son is a murderer.

Im glad she apologized to Heather. However, I'm not going to applaud her for strength or courage. Strength is the courage to step into the unknown, no matter how hard, to set the example for your kids on how to treat people. She set the example on how women are supposed to treated and Chad is the product of that. There are plenty of people that have taken that long, hard road to generational change and they are the ones I support. They are the ones who dont have the familial support, unlike Chads mom.

I can understand when a few questions come out like that but this was too many in a row, I think because it's a death penalty case he's being given some extra wiggle room. But like I said and should have mentioned before, that's my opinion and understanding of how things usually work. Different states do thing differently too... what goes in one state may not in another.

Lawyers are allowed to lead on cross. So right now is still the States witnesses, so Prior can cross. The state can then cross once Prior presents his own witnesses and then they can ask leading questions.

I think we’d like to see him not be nasty about Chad’s own wife, Tammy was obviously a good person and she was at least emotionally abused for years by his client. This is the main reason we don’t like Prior.

@@cn.dakotar He’s presenting things in such a way that could present appellate issues. He’s making a lot of mistakes that makes him look like he’s not paying attention and then leading questions, testifying from the counsel table. A vigorous and enthusiastic defense - yes. Berating witnesses, insulting the dead, no. It’s not a good look and the jury will project what they think of him onto Chad - which may be somewhat accurate but it leaves an impression of improper defense. In my opinion.
