I made a base at the very bottom of this steep hill, basically put the TC at the very bottom and made it into a bunker, pancake layered the top and basically made the top of my base like a normal base, got raided 3 times and nobody could find the TC because it was under the "foundations"

I made a base with a false half wall foundation, with a twig half wall cantilever out so the floor would drop out if it’s destroyed, placed a sleeping bag and a crate with spears, after i woke up on beach from offline, spawned in bag and dropped out the floor, got like 2/3 of my gear back, destroyed their tc and soft walled out and sealed it, had to move to new base… but took a soft L instead of a hard L. 😂

This base is all wrong. Personally I feel it needs more windows to give it that natural rust lighting and a warm color scheme with matching curtains. Add a couple of throw cushions. Bam! Now the space is inviting.

Built this in a spot that I normally wouldn't even consider due to terrain. Ended up with a 2x1 underground, with 6 accessible large boxes, and then a 4x4 up top. At one point early in building I let a player from the monstrosity of a base in the valley beside me in to show him how little I had. He mentioned that since I didn't even have a TC yet he would give me some stone and wood. Little did he know I already had 26k frags and over 100k stone underneath his feet!

Building underground is such a solid way to avoid losing everything. It's underrated af

Fresh idea! Though it is completely reliant on stealth. If a raider notices the floor is a different hp from the foundation they can eco raid the foundation right in your airlock and go straight to TC. A stronger build would honeycomb that and use a 3rd floor jump up entrance

One thing that makes this a lot easier to loot - Stand in the middle of the crack above the box, look straight down and turn your mouse while looking straight down - this will slowly move your cursor in a small circle directly under you, and if you go past the "Open" it's easy to get back to it - this works for me like 2/3 times (otherwise move a bit and try again)

I just wanted to say that this build video has single handedly saved this game for me. I've been playing console rust since it's release and I'm tired of getting offlined, been using this build technique for the last two months and it's been the best two wipes I've had. I still get offlined, but the best they get off of me is clothes and tools, at best a box of crossbows. I even went to the point of leaving notes stashed around the base for raiders, my favorite is the box in the wall with a note that says, "We've been trying to reach you about your cars extended warranty."

So I've combined your pixel gap build with my gap trap airlock AND a swallow trap on the roof. My neighbors hate me and have no idea how i keep bouncing back from their raids.

OMG, First! Awesome Base bro! Keep up the great vids, brother. The only problem I have with this base is that you only put 1 box down stairs and also that you can't access the TC through the gap. I like the 2x2 with the TC in one side of the honeycombing, 2 boxes (on shelving) in the other side and 4 boxes in the ceilings. That's 6 boxes of storage and the TC that no one can access unless they go through walls and even then, they only get either TC, or 2 boxes, per wall, so most people will quit before even trying (if you give them some halfway decent faux loot). I've used it for the last 3 wipes and I absolutely LOVE it! It can be a little finicky to get into the boxes, but the scope/binoculars idea is genius!

This is an old school tipo that was used in 2018-2019 when the six months of procedural generation that kept having those Bowls in the middle of fields LOL.. EDIT- you went and mix the pixel Gap with a old-school bunker base. Bravo. Nice remix on that.

Just aim down sight with any weapon or use a crosshair. Been using pixel gap bunkers on all my bases for the past year and they are very convenient to access once you get used to it as long as it's not nighttime.

I just HQ a square, 4 walls and a roof with bag large box and furnace inside. And put drop boxs on wall and 2 extra inside in the box. Then kill my self into it and out of it. No one ever bothers breaking it on console xbox series x. And hide the good loot inside

Honestly I'd leave TC above ground and using external disconnectable TCs. I've been doing an underground bunker, personal design, which is a pretty good sized 3-4 person base with a bunkered basement access, and if I can find the right spot I'm able to get 24 large boxes "underground." I always leave the TC above ground because if they make it all the way in, get a few boxes and TC, they assume that I was just poor and bad at base design, break the TC and leave. Raiders rarely pull out a hammer to check floor durability, but if they can't find TC and there are no doors left they're going to get suspicious 9 times out of 10.

Great video. There is no base that is completely fool proof. It’s rust. There are all kinds of different skill and experience levels. The real objective is having a build that significantly reduces your potential raid losses. I believe this video does that. Place a double door over the gap... but leave it open accidentally and so that it not in the way. people don't pop already open doors. a door in the frame covers the gap. simply remove to access loot.

Ive built bases like this in the past and all you will guarantee is that you can be eco raided, It is one of the downfalls of the half wall update. Cool concept but it is a risky concept if I see "foundations" laid out like that with a single door up top I would definitely get sus and check everything with a hammer for an opportunity for an eco raid. To be honest if you have the patience for a /kill bunker you might as well just do a HQM one without the raised foundations weakness, with no possibility of having it soft sided/eco raided.

I jacked hammered out 5 hqm external tcs. There's always some dude willing to eco raid for a chance of loot. Had a hunch they kept boom in em each external tc had 100 explosives each plus guns

You can make it accessable from the outside though, the triangles you placed at the end where the tc was, you could of have made a bunker with the 3 triangles, it would look the same, but accessable from outside if destroyed, so

I did similar, I left the whole top side open, emptyish boxes and a single locked door with signs saying "Lock your doors" with a stone fireplace blocking line of sight of a missing half wall, leading to a secret entrance to the bunker below.

I like to put TC above the bunker so that they think the raid is over when they destroy TC. It does pose the risk of being griefed if you decide to do that, but with a relatively small unassuming looking base, I take my chances and it seems to pay off. I fucking love this idea. Thanks Reks!

Here’s an idea for crack looting, why not place boxes not completely covering, but the you could treat it like a suicide bunker and spawn under and loot it from underneath. Plus it gives more coverage for raiders to maybe not notice the gap

I tried this one. Actually worked but was a low pop srvr. Never got raided, not even offline. Most of the loot up top was worms and horse 💩 just for the troll. But nobody tried to raid. Wound up giving the base to a kid who was door camping me. 🤧

You put the ressources in the box under the floor. Kil yourself. spawn at the bag under the floor. move the ressources from box to tc. kill. spawn elsewhere

You have to only reach tc from respawning unfortunately. Thus the basis of an f1kill bunker, however this one has a unique pass through option that doesn't show raiders where loot is unlike a drop box type bunker

READ THIS: Ok listen, Imagine this design but with a zerg base. Then you can transfer all rockets + gunpowder + sulfer to under there by placing a box on the other side above the gap. Youll have the rest of the zerg base actually just being fueled by externals. If they raid they are probably not gonna expect to check underneath the base which will cause them to blow through your whole base, only if they have the necessary boom. They also won't be able to use your own rockets if they get to TC/loot room! THIS IS REVOLUTIONARY! (Obviously im not talking about 12-man zergs cause the base would be too big and the surface is of course not flat around the area... Unless you become extremely lucky)
