Definitely a modern day Yankee legend. I'll never forget the 2009 world series. We wouldn't have done it without him
@howie9751 Жыл бұрын
True, but overall he was a hot and cold hitter. Like the 2004 playoffs against the Red Sox. He could suddenly turn into a long slump and then turn around and go into a long hitting streak. More so than average. So I can't consider him a Yankee legend though I did like him.

He does his job....trots around the bases at a respectable pace....Touches home.....then goes directly to the dugout where he will then smile and celebrate modestly. The professionalism in this can’t be undervalued. He’s ecstatic inside but he always acted like he’d been there before. Mastui = CLASS ACT!

I have always believed his first home run the grand slam in his first game was his most memorable. I remember watching the game live . The electricity in the stands was amazing.
