Hidilyn Diaz 🇵🇭 is the Philippines' first Olympic gold medallist! Competing in the women's 55 kg weightlifting category at Tokyo 2020, Diaz secured the nation's maiden gold medal, etching her name in Philippine sports history. Not only did she clinch victory, but Diaz also set Olympic records in the clean and jerk, lifting an impressive 127 kg, and in the total with a remarkable 224 kg. 🥇
