Wo bist du, wo ist diese gemütliche Hütte? Da würde ich gerne ein paar Tage verbringen. Genug Holz vor der Hütte, der Ofen wärmt behaglich!! I would have rug like tapestry’s on the walls to help with drafts and a thick mattress I guess the problem would be the damp but I love watching them get settled in when they cook a meal it looks all cosy.

You should remove those trees that are over the roof before the poke holes in the membrane and cause the roof to leak. The tree could fall the rest of the way and knock your metal chimney down causing a fire or worse yet cause the smoke and carbon monoxide to fill the dugout with dangerous fumes while you sleep that could kill you before you might wake up.

Lol, you said it!! 😂 I think about that all of the time. I love watching these particular kinds of channels! I love watching them build, and learning from them. It's relaxing, interesting and makes me long for the day I retire and am able to have a nice little cabin of my own. That being said, the number one thing I always say, I will do differently, is the bed! No way could I sleep on a wooden plank bench, with a thin blanket or sleeping bag! At least this man's bench is made from flat planks, and not a bunch of tiny logs or saplings, how could anyone be comfortable on a rigid bench? Personally, if I was worried about mice etc chewing up my blankets, bedding, it would be easy enough to have a blow up mattress, pillows and blankets sealed away in those airtight bags that all of the air is sucked out of and it condenses everything making your items flat, and sealed away from dust and rodents. Then I would put them in a plastic tub sealed with a lid right under the bench. Rodent proof. Dust proof. Bug proof. Once I saw a channel and the guy had a trap door in the floor and in it was a waterproof sealed, airtight container, where he put food and first aid and bedding. It was very clever. There have been times people have been in caught in storms or lost and while hunting or unable to get to their cabins, boats or just unable to set up a tent, and they come across someone's cabin and stay for the night. It's like an unspoken rule, "my house is your house," and the lost visitor cleans up when he he leaves and writes a thank you note. It's good to have Xtra provisions not only for your own needs, but for the needs of your fellow woodsmen! ❤️🌎
