Enjoyed this video very much. Love the wood table. Please don't paint it. Antiques in solid wood in good condition will disappear and I think we should preserve as many pieces as we can. But you are the owner, so you decide. 🙂I'm glad you kept the second Betsy J. I'm sure it can be cleaned and it will sell. Good pieces for Christmas as well. 👍

I agree do not paint. Not sure what the use is within the nursery...but you can add one of the nursery colors with accessories. The wood is beautiful and in great condition to paint would just devalue the piece.

The metal shapes in the set is for making Scandinavian cookies. You make a batter similar to pancake or waffle batter, then you dip the cookie forms into the batter, next into hot oil and fry them and sprinkle powered sugar on them. They’re fun to make & taste great when freshly made.

I was thinking that too and lladro does make a figurine like that but I don’t think the flower petals on the one in the video look delicate enough. The colors also looks lightly off, I think it’s a China replica. I’m thinking that’s why it didn’t catch her eye. Lladro usually has very fine details I definitely could be wrong though as sometimes in videos it’s hard to pick up the details. Good spot though ❤️

We're in the process of cleaning out my in-laws' house. "Funny we haven't found a punchbowl yet!" I said. Husband replied: "My mother didn't have a punchbowl." I said "Your mother was a bride in the 1950s. Christmas parties, bridal luncheons, baby showers...I'm SURE she had a punchbowl." Found it a week later in the basement. (And it, too, is going to wind up at the Goodwill.)

That rosette iron is for making yummy fried cookies. They’re light, crispy, and usually eaten the day they are made. Yum! I will not correct you for saying “sherbert”, since that’s how I always heard it pronounced. If you're unsure of painting wood furniture, give it a coat of clear sealer first. The paint won't be able to get into the wood grain, making it a simple process to strip back to wood.

LOL something sad in that photo sitting there on the shelf without the rest of the story. Keep going you are doing so well! The part of the Fisher rack system thats worth the most is missing, the turntable. Value in whats left is about $70-$100 total, although vintage cassette decks are making a comeback. Sadly the cabinet is basically worthless. A lot of times what people do with those rack systems is discard the cabinet and display the units in a modern wall system or integrate them into a modern tv stand multimedia shelf system.

Lol! You make deep fried pastries with a rosette iron. You dip them in a pastry batter and then dip it in the fryer until the pastry cooks enough to fall off. Let it cook to the desired crispiness and then remove it. Put it on a plate with paper towels to absorb the excess grease, then sprinkle with confectioner's sugar. Branding meat indeed! Hi Joselyn, I really enjoy all your videos, especially your most recent shop organization vlogs. Thank you! 4:25 This typical Chinese soup bowl (with cran design) with lid is very common and normally used for double-boiling herbal soups. $12 is too spendy in a thrift shop! haha 9:30 The big Chinese word design on the cups and plates says "Xuan Xi" meaning "Double Happiness". This word is used in weddings. So these cups and plates are used at weddings or as gifts to the newlyweds.

Williamsburg Pottery. Williamsburg pottery is often confused with pottery from Colonial Williamsburg- they look similar and were made just down the road from each other. When I lived in Washington DC we would drive down to Lightfoot Virginia to the “Williamsburg Pottery Factory” it was a crazy good pottery factory outlet. These pieces were made on site for years and with less embellishments than the CW pottery. ( the old pottery is closed and that might be why your viewer said they were made in China now) This appears to be that…not the reproduction Colonial Williamsburg collection, which also was sold there in the 80’s-90’s…as seconds. The true CW pieces have their historic seal embossed. If you bought a second they would fill in the seal with a putty that has taken me over 20 years to dig out, lol. They have a new pottery facility and I don’t live in DC anymore so?

I inherited my husband’s grandmothers punch bowl set. It held fond memories for him because she made that punch. So I made it for my kids for every birthday party. Hopefully one of them will decide they want it so they can pass on that tradition. But I also use the bowl for large salads or cut up fruit if we are having a large gathering. When not in use it sits on top of my refrigerator and I put my onions in it. It’s definitely gotten good use out of over the years. Glad we saved it from the horrors of a thrift store donation and possibly the landfill 🥰

I know you like doing this cycle of GWs for content but instead of weekly visits to these picked over GWs, there are great antique malls in the same area. Your antique mall vids are the best because there is so much more interesting things to talk about. You can make two stops make multiple vids at each stop. The Emmitsburg Antique Mall is huge and full of great items. And since you go as far as Boonsboro, you might as well go to Beaver Creek Antique Market and Antique Crossroads in Hagerstown. They are side by side and you can easily get a couple vids in each. And I know you have viewers that have booths at both locations. BTW, looking forward to booth content from you.

I always pick up the Vera Bradleys no matter the condition. They came out when I was a teenager (1960's) and have always loved them. I love Betsy Johnson too - same time period.

Wasn't that a Kraft Peanut Butter bear jar? There many different ones in the set. I think I have 12 (?). Check listings online and some go for $30 to $35.

I think so too ! It's missing the green lid though. Not sure if that will effect the value.

Pretty sure that bear jar was a Kraft Peanut butter jar! I still have my punch bowl sets and use them at every shower. We make the cranberry juice, 7-up and ginger-ale with the floating orange slices.

Whenever I donate picture frames I take out the pictures I think it’s sad that photos of family end up in goodwill and garage sales.

The little wooden table/cupboard is a good pick. Ofcourse you can paint it if you want to but try first to find out what is says on the bottom… You found a couple of good items..👍🏼🥰

Right around the middle of the video where you were reaching for a large egg with bunny on it, I think you may have missed a Lladro wedding couple.

Please share what you learn about that little table. I doubt it’s really valuable so paint without guilt.it can always be restored later. Chalk paint is great, even Rust-Oleum makes one.

I'm bringing punch back into fashion. We have it at every event and I have a vintage punch bowl. I also give them as gifts to friends with the ingredients for punch. We do a tin of fruit, a bottle of lemonade and a bottle of cranberry juice. Can add alcohol if its only for adults. Also, watch all the 'don't paint the wooden furniture!!' Crowd come out of the woodwork! You paid for it, it's yours, it would look awesome green. We painted my daughters wooden set pastel green and it looks great!

Hi all. About the cookie thingies. I was thinking pizzelles. Are they the same as rosettes? I'm not a pastry chef, just love great tastes. 😁 Thank you Jocelyn for all your instructions.

Yes Scandinavian rosettes, you make a thin batter where a hot iron is dipped in the batter you will cook until a light golden brown then sprinkle with powder sugar.. Generally made at the Christmas holiday A set of irons can come with several different attachments.. Irons are usually passed down in the family..

That rocker looked exactly like one that was sold through a catalog store in the '70s. The name of the store was Best Products. You chose what you wanted by looking at the catalog and went to the showroom to pick it up. The rocker wasn't expensive back then. I would guess that it was a copy of a more expensive piece of real furniture. So, long story short, be careful when looking at fold-up upholstered rockers. You may get a Best Products one!

The Playboy beer steins go for decent money, 1970’s. Anything vintage playboy does really well. I understand not wanting to resell something of that genre, but their are collectors out there!
