Hiding Valuables in Your Home

A friend's husband gave her a 3 carat diamond solitaire ring for their anniversary. They took an outdoors vacation a day or two later and she didn't want to take her ring so she hid it in the top of a hairspray can stored in the cabinet under the bathroom sink. When they got home from vacation a few weeks later, she went to get her ring and the can of hairspray was gone. Her husband was in a cleaning mood when they first got home and when he picked up the can of hairspray and shook it, he noticed the rattling and figured it was like a can of spray paint that rattles when it's empty. He put it in the trash. The trash went to the landfill. They called the landfill and searched through tons of garbage from their neighborhood, but never found it. The ring was gorgeous! It's a shame she didn't tell her husband. The other thing is I'm an elderly person and lately when I hide things, and I'm not exaggerating, by the next day I have no idea where they are and I never see them again! I've resorted to writing down the locations in a notebook hidden among other books. Enjoyed the video. You have a really pretty kitchen.

Please. Do not take this guy seriously. I will tell you great places to hide valuables. My family was robbed last year when I was 15 and I was home alone babysitting my baby brother. They went through everything, absolutely everything. They poured out all the contents of drawers, work spaces, food supplies, everything. The best thing to do is to not snuggle any valuables in anything that can be easily dumped. Instead what you should do is customize hiding places in your home. Open vents, you can hide things in there. Make your own little cavity inside the walls behind a heavy object, behind posters or pictures is a No go. Underneath wooden floors or carpet, or maybe even behind a wooden plank in the attic is a great place but please, don’t take this guy seriously.

i just watched a video where a kid hollowed out a deodorant tube and could stick money in there. i thought that was pretty cool especially since i live in a college apartment and dont really have the time or resources to do much else but i sure as hell have an asston of deodorant. also, a thief comes into your house or bedroom, he would check your dresser drawers or under your bed or mattress or in a jewlery box (ezpz score) or try to grab a laptop, but he wouldnt necessarily grab a tube of deodorant expecting to find valuable jewelry or money in there. the one thing about this is dont keep your money in a public bathroom because thieves are more opportunistic than smart. if someone is over for a house party or some gathering and they step into the bathroom, they may stumble across your money on accident (knock over the tube or (for some ungodly reason) try to use your tube or something like that, and it'd be hard to pass up that much money (especially when they have all the privacy in the world to decide whether or not to take it.) also, drug addicts (who many times resort to theft to supply their habit) might go straight to your bathroom to try to score drugs. just a general idea that i thought was pretty cool credit where credit is due: kzbin.info/www/bejne/omLWlo2BopmDo6c

hide your stuff in the sink tube and attach it on a strings that way you have a chance of not letting a swat team finding it! the second thing is hide it under your trash bin out side your home were the swat team won't find if you hid it well enough. the third thing is the tube of your blinds for your window if u have one... the forth thing is inside your mat (between) the mat layers.

I like what your trying to do but what if somebody breaks in and goes for the food? Because maybe they are poor or something happens to civilization and you just happen to keep valuables in food and thats what they take, now I know this is mainly for burglars and looters(which have also been known to loot food), but this is probably only good for short term right?

I use fake power outlets and some mini safes ive hidden inside my walls that once a month I open up, take or deposit goods and seal up the drywall again

I did that when I was 10 years old! We lived in a tiny miners town, so I found a manzanita bush at my favorite look out and buried it. Went back a few years ago and dug it up... I had a bunch of pennies, a few cool rocks but all the currency was foreign!! Wait...WHAT?? Lol KIDS!!! 😜

Today ground beef costs a lot....so hiding money in the ground beef....the burglar would say....look here...I hit the jackpot...I've. Got dinner and a thousand dollars. Hiding money in food in 2018 is something you don't want to do....you would be better off hiding your money in the trash.😂😂
