Hielan' Laddie, also known as Highland Laddie, sung by Kenneth McKellar.
The original song was written shortly after the Jacobite victory at the Battle of Prestonpans, in honour of Charles Edward Stuart, "Bonnie Prince Charlie"
The tune became very popular after the conflict ended, and indeed, the tune became a required march for many of the Highland Regiments in the British Army. It is still the Quick March tune for the Scots Guards today.
Sadly Charlie would fail to live up to the words of the tune, at Culloden he would end up fleeing from the field, leaving his loyal followers to fend for themselves.
