也許可以找台語中,不是外來語,卻跟英文發音很類似的詞 例如:take it 的發音,跟台語拿去的音很像,兩邊的意思也很類似! 或者多蒐集這些,也蠻好玩的!

@@shan-lan 其實就是趣味一下而已,台語拿去不只兩種發音: sa kid、 sa ku 、ni ki 、me ki 、ma ku,根據拿的東西不同,有不同說法。 就是用台語發音,來猜英文,所以 t 開頭的音就可以了

"sio-do" is derived from word "short", that's correct. However, Taiwanese don't use it for length or height measuring, ever. It actually means "short-circuited." So you can say it literally to mean an electronic device is short-circuited, or figuratively to mean a person who makes a blunder, like his/her brain is short-circuited unexpectedly. And actually in this video, all the examples you gave are derived from Japanese English (和製英語), so we have other ways to say them in Taiwanese.
I think this challenge helps your family to learn/speak Taiwanese language, Miss Elizabeth, so that it is useful for them when they (including you) travel to Taiwan in the future.👍🏻
