I considered the last generation Cyrus, was put off by the optional power supply that cost as much as the unit itself, and the pair exceeded my budget. Now I see I can pay nearly 3000 pounds for the new CD player that uses the same chip as the $179 Fosi ZD3. At 3000 quid, I would have expected SACD and a pair of 9039 pros, or AKM 4499s. I get that most of the value here is the stable mechanism and clean power, but why start proceedings with a lower end chip?

How come british amps (like the new Cambridge) seems to cost much more money in Britain than in the U.S.? 2000 pounds that's about $3000 or $3500.

If only, £2000 is about $2500 right now. UK price will already include VAT, US price will most likely have sales tax to add on as it varies per state

cyrus have raised there prices to much where there jst not good value ,there is better out there and cheaper
