I considered the last generation Cyrus, was put off by the optional power supply that cost as much as the unit itself, and the pair exceeded my budget. Now I see I can pay nearly 3000 pounds for the new CD player that uses the same chip as the $179 Fosi ZD3. At 3000 quid, I would have expected SACD and a pair of 9039 pros, or AKM 4499s. I get that most of the value here is the stable mechanism and clean power, but why start proceedings with a lower end chip?

Is it just me or does it seem like Cambridge comes out with something new every month? I like the looks of that Pro-Ject turntable and would love to get one of their spinners. Another great video, thanks.
