The paint they used seems to have some glitter in it though lol. I dont mind though, it seems to make it have a luster, somewhat.

I had the old Monster ones that I got Xmas 2011, I sent them back last month with a fault and they have replaced them with the non Monster ones. Straight away I could tell the build quality was better, stronger head band, softer ear cups and generally tighter. Also I don't have anything to compare with but I'm sure the sound is slightly better too!!

Just so you guys know: these are NOT fake Beats. I bought the same pair in Dark Blue on 1/04/2013. These are the latest version that Beats by Dre has put out, since they are no longer associated with Monster. The box has changed, the cable has changed and there's only one included now, and the carrying case is a bit different (White interior Beats = White Case Interior; Black interior Beats = Black Case Interior.) The ones I got were sold by Amazon LLC; a legit seller as well. These are real.

110% agree with you, i was going to buy the non monster pros in white/silver but decided not to when i noticed they had old stock,although the old stock models - studios,solos hd,pros were in the sale with £20 gbp off, maybe trying to sell of the old stock before replenishing with the new non monster versions.

i went into my local hmv just 2 days ago and all the cases for studios,pros,tours had the old monster logo on,but the beats wireless did not so not sure whats going on with HMV as as hifiguy528 HMV are an uk authorised reslller. could be just the display cases that have the old monster logo on, when you take the display case to the checkout make sure you check the box,in the box on the headphones before you buy them to check if they are new updated non monster

They will be real because they are from a authorised retailer and also If the packaging does not look like his there fake. Also of the contrast of the white on the box is exaggerated they COULD be fake but since they are a authorised retailer trust them like my friend who really enjoyed his pair. Enjoy yours.

NOTE: I have bought a Solo HD from the Apple store with the top being fully sealed I have sent them to Monster requesting a confirmation of authenticity and they said it was Authentic some packages may come with a sealed top

Should I get these, or the mixrs? These are going to be my first ''high end'' headphones, and obviously my first beats product. I'm not an audiophile, however I do like good sounding music, with good bass, and all around good sound. I like listening to hip-hop, alternative, and dubstep (electronic). Please help!

I can say they are worth the money just for customer service, it is excellent. They replaced my ibeats with urbeats not so long ago.

only thing annoying on the new revised models are that the ear cups crackle when you press on them. crisper highs, softer mids, and tighter bass than last year's model
