@@Elonas Connects automatically everytime, Every now and again I might have to switch it to iDrive menu and switch to Bluetooth if I want to start playing Spotify etc immediately. Otherwise it will switch automatically in a minute or 2. Most of the times it switches instantly anyway. Only quirk. Pro tip, you can skip through ads with the scroll wheel on the steering wheel 😎

How come you haven’t been able to figure out how to run the audio through the digital audio Tosh link optical cable I don’t wanna run analog audio from the android unit or the Linuix unit on a 2013 X6M E71 CIC

When the car have optical fiber cable in OEM harness, it need to move the optical cable to new harness, you can watch this video: kzbin.info/www/bejne/bqbSk4qdjql8Z6csi=X_DS11pnZO3B4kwi, All aftermarket units, when install it, all need to do this step, so that the original optical fiber cable can continue to work same as before......

@@HifimaxOfficialthe optical fiber cable works as before, but only with the NBT System and not with the Android or Linux OS. There is only one MMI Box out there, which can be used with full MOST integration and original Audio quality without AUX. But it also costs a bit more than the other Systems running with AUX audio and it’s only a MMI Box without Touch Screen.

When will the Linux product for the BMW F10 CIC version be released? Everyone is hoping for a product that, like the Linux MMI version, utilizes Bluetooth connection instead of auxiliary (AUX) connection. As you are well aware, the audio quality through the AUX connection is notoriously poor.

The Linux screen now , the sound still transfer by AUX . For now , only MMI BOX can transfer by OEM Bluetooth.

Great Video! Looks like it's a better choice than Android version if I don't need more features other than CarPlay. My car (2014 X3, NBT) has heads up display (HUD) with navigation, does it retain HUD features on OEM navigation? or show anything from CarPlay on HUD? Many thanks!

The CarPlay not support HUD, when you use HUD, it need get into original car menu and use it , same as before .

I think if u need only CarPlay, Android Auto or aftermarket camera feature, the Linux System will be the better choice. The Android Systems are nice to have, but if u don’t use the features of Android OS it’s just worse than Linux. Zlink App is buggy, sometimes it doesn’t start, it’s rebooting, the Screen gets a “greyish” view with Zlink and u have to restart it, booting time of Android is way longer than Linux OS..

Linux is no problem, the screen we offer already high configurations. But if the Android screen ( Android OS), 2/32 is not recommend.

Hi, I have this unit but when I play music, I get distortion and the sound isn't clear. Is there anything I can check? Just for info, the system doesn't need the aux cable to be plugged in.

If you bought from us ( the same model- Linux screen ), you can check: in the power cable , it designs a small cable ( black color ), that is audio ground cable , just connect together. Then all noise will gone and fixed. That cable have a label ( If CIC model don’t connect it ) . If your model don’t have this design, that is other sellers product, you should ask the supplier for that .
